MooreMark Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 One with no blasted adware. And is still reasonably good at searching..? Or is there another good program out there??
Guest macheteofodin Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 http://myimages.fourvalve.com/darthvikram/ It's called Kazaa Lite Resurrection. Enjoy.
razazteca Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Don't expect to find recent mp3s that are not corrupted.
Nevermortal Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 KaZaA's dead. It's all about Soulseek and Bit Torrent these days.
Golgo 13 Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 I don't know what version of Kazaa Lite you've been downloading, since no version I know of has adware/spyware. The regular Kazaa on the other hand has all that crap bundled with it, so maybe you're confused as to which one you got. Aside from sharing the same network, Kazaa and Kazaa Lite are two different things. I can say I've never gotten a corrupted file. KL's built-in IP Blocker works pretty well for that, blocking the IP addresses controlled by you know who, those who distribute the corrupted files in the first place. It's true that the Kazaa network is 'dead' though, what with the RIAA pressuring Kazaa, and Kazaa in turn pressuring the makers of Kazaa Lite (thus forcing them to go the lesser known Kazaa Lite Resurrection route).
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Try this: http://www.warez.com/ Yeah, the name is ironic... but the client is nice and smooth. Plus, no RIAA .. yet. Or this: http://www.grokster.com/

I think by corrupted file, he meant that the song itself contains the consistent noises that are added to them to discourage downloading them. Anyway, I agree that Kazaa has been crap for a while now. Forget about getting most videos to download quickly, it's become a pain just to get songs to download at a fast pace.
razazteca Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 On many of the Top 40 songs you will find that after 10 seconds or so there will be an annoying noise inserted into the song.
Golgo 13 Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 That's the type of corrupted file I'm referring to.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Is Grokster any good? I haven't tried it, but the first one I mentioned I downloaded today and I like it . Very clean interface and alot of files and people sharing.
razazteca Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Is'nt Grokster just another program on the Fasttrack network?
