My point is that with planning and hyping things well ahead of time, they already have the people they need to make a profitable Wrestlemania.

I wish I could travel back in time to a few weeks after WMX-8 and tell everyone here that in the not-so distant future we would be loving Bradshaw's character and Benoit & Eddie Guerrero would be the two biggest stars in the company.

 

I wouldn't say Guerrero and Benoit were the biggest stars in the company - Austin, HHH, and Undertaker to name just a few are bigger stars.

Didn't Hogan *want* to be involved though? It was McMahon who declined. Hogan felt WMXX wouldn't be special without him, in one of the interviews I read about that took place only a few weeks before the big show.

 

It must really irk him that last year's WM, one which he was the focal promotional point, doesn't even come close to this years show, which was headlined by Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels & Triple H.
