Frankie Williams 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Maven Scheduled To Be At RAW On Monday Posted By Ashish on 03.27.04 Will he appear on TV? Maven is scheduled to be at RAW on Monday, but it is unknown whether he will appear on TV. The following is a press release sent out by Maven's website webmaster: Maven confirmed with me this evening that he will be at Raw in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is still not yet known whether or not he will actually wrestle but is likely to make an appearance on the show. As for Maven's in-ring return, which is slated for right after Monday when Maven reports to Ohio Valley Wrestling (training territory of WWE) to work of the ring rust, get back in to prime shape and put on some more pounds. Maven will be housed at OVW for three weeks and will then make his return to the road with WWE for house shows and live events. For those of you hoping to see Maven in the ring soon, it is still possible that he is included on TV or even on some matches during Raw or Heat in his last few weeks at OVW. Maven is very excited to be back and can't wait till this Monday. He has worked hard in rehab and in training to exceed his doctor's expectations and his own. As well, Maven's mental focus is stronger than ever. Even though the passing of his mother affected him emotionally, the past few months have been building blocks for Maven and his ever determined to make an impact when he returns to World Wrestling Entertainment and the Raw brand. Hands down and no questions about it, Maven will make an impact and be shed in a new light that fans have never seen him in before. What exactly that means will only be known when that ultimate time comes, and the superstar career of Maven Huffman takes flight.
Guest Danny Dubya v 2.0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 As long as he stays the fuck away from 5-minute headlocks, I'll enjoy his ringwork somewhat and look forward to his return.

Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 In my mind, Maven beats Spike Dudley and Funaki for uselessness. Funaki had a good tag team going. Spike Dudley took crazy bumps for other people. Maven won a game show. His existance on the roster only adds to the whole "these guys aren't talented, I could do that" thing. Maven won a game show. His existance on the roster only adds to the whole "these guys aren't talented, I could do that" thing. Maven has a good amount of charisma - but WWE just doesn't showcase it right. If you watched the Tough Enough I episode when they shot promos, Maven was by far the best one out of all of them. He was even better than some of the guys currently in WWE. Yet, with the character Vince has Maven portraying, that charisma just doesn't shine through. If they made him a heel, I think he could become one of the more charismatic superstars on Raw. And personally, I think Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak far surpass Maven in the race of uselessness. Forgetting the fact that they are part of WWE's future, they don't really have anything else going for them character-wise or skill-wise. In my opinion, Maven gets a bad rap. He has a decent amount of wrestling skill that would improve with experience, we've already seen he has the charisma and interview skills.....I think he could be a lot better if Vince would just open his eyes and put him in a different role.
