MrRant 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 Episode 1 (Season 2) - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (P.E.T.A.) plays on our compassion for other living things while laying a trap to turn the tables on us: PETA is against all forms of medical testing involving animals - regardless of the potential benefits to human beings...PETA supports banning the ownership of pets and advocates releasing them into the wild… It's enough to make a vegetarian eat meat! http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/topics.do There is also a video preview if you click the link. My biggest hatred outside of hippies... PETA. I can't wait.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 God, I really need Showtime. I didn't even know this series existed untill the first season came out on DVD. I need to check this out somehow.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 God, I really need Showtime. I didn't even know this series existed untill the first season came out on DVD. I need to check this out somehow. That's the saddest part of it all, is that more people don't get to see this show due to it being on a premium cable channel. I'd imagine a bunch of corporations have been angered by this show, but know also it has a limited audience. The episode on bottled water was hilarious, as well as the "raw foods" clowns. This is a good show.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 I had Showtime when season 1 was on. I loved the show. My only problem with it that it wasn't long enough.
Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 I wonder what else they could attack this year. They attacked alot of people and alot of topics last year: UFOs, Enviromentalists, Corporations, The Paranormal, Religion, self-help programs, new age medicine. What else is left? Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted March 30, 2004 I loved on the UFO episode, PnT painted a set of anal beads silver, and gave them to people, then asked the halfwits to identify if it was used in their abduction..some awesome replies. The holistic medicine episode was marvelous.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Good thing this thread was here, I totally would have missed it. A PETA show sounds great. I hope they do more shows about stuff that a good segment of the population actually falls for, less about UFOs and junk that, while funny, are fringe beliefs at best. Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Well, the next show after this one is going to be about Safety, but they haven't announced what they mean by that?
MrRant 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 It's about the insane lengths people go to to feel safe from what I understand.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 I want one that is focused on the insanity of wrestling message boards, and how people take it so seriously. They could interview a bunch of people from here. I'd order Showtime just to see that one.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted April 1, 2004 Have they done anything on the Low Carb diet craze? That one's asking for it.
Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2004 They did that last season. It was a show on all kinds of fab diets and how each one of them is all lies. The other topics I expect them to do are televangalists and miracle workers/faith healers, which is something I'm sure they will end up doing obviously seeing as Penn & Teller are both pro-science Atheists. Other than that, I don't know what else those two got plan for this season.
