Guest Nanks Report post Posted March 31, 2004 I think recently HHH has realised that in the future he will own the WWE and he wants there to still be a WWE to own, therefore he's started putting people over. Why in God's name would you think HHH will own WWE instead of Shane???
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Yes, HHH vs. Guerrero lost viewers, which is almost unheard of, especially for such a "dream interpromotional match." I think it's a heavy indictment of the uselessness of the brand split, given that the first free interpromotional match given away did not do a blockbuster rating. Actually Rene Dupree (new SD draftee) vs. Chris Jericho (RAW) happend in the first 15 minutes of the show. So that was the first free TV interpromotion match. HHH/Eddie was SD v. SD so it wouldn't count anyway.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Stop splitting hairs...it was the dominant champion of one brand since the brand split vs. the hot new thing on the other brand, and it LOST VIEWERS.

Why in God's name would you think HHH will own WWE instead of Shane??? Vince's backstage attitude to Shane is apparently unfriendly and they don't have a great relationship. I can see "Daddy's little girl" being left the WWE when he dies, and we all know who she's married too....
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Indeed - unless things change between Vince and Shane, and Vince thinks that Shane could handle the company (you know, the guy who's personal intermissions are a Cruiserweight Open and a Womens Championship match at WrestleMania XX), I can't see him taking control of it. Still, presuming that the company is still alive and kicking when Vince dies, the chances are high of Stephanie and Hunter inheriting the empire.

I also noticed he said in a recent interview (movie career related) he'd accomplished everything he could in wrestling.

And I've said before that it's whether he wants his ego satisfied, or he wants the company that is his life to flourish, even more so due to the fact that he could own it down the track. Any chance that Shane knew exactly how the matches were going to pan out and didn't want to watch a rushed spotfest, not that there were that many spots, and a 3 minute match with not that much to it that resulted in a head shaving?? Yes, I'd say that he would've known how they were going to turn out. The reason that the Cruiserweight Open was a spot-fest was because that's what the casual fans really get into. Even so, it was WrestleMania - whether it reflects how he'd go running the company is another matter.
tommytomlin 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Nobody here knows what Vince thinks of Shane as a businessman, what his backstage relationship is with him, or whether Stephanie is more likely to take over, so what's the point in arguing? It's fun to speculate, but the fact is, nobody knows shit about what Vince's plans are.

The only reason I can see about taking the Stephanie/Triple H tact is that those two seem to be deeper into the creative aspects of the company than Shane. Shane as far as I know, has been pretty much always been more into the business end of the company and even if he was made CEO, I can't see him weilding the creative power in the company. And who would that power go to if not his sister and brother-in-law?

Guest Besus Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Can this guy make a post not mentioning Orton? Why do you have to post SuckBag this SuckBag that in every thread,Mixx? It's annoying enough you post his name in the Raw thread every minute and don't say anything new about Orton day after day, week after week and month after month when you post here. Shelton got MUCH more response, just in the last half hour of RAW, then SuckBag has recieved at ANY time. Orton has got heat like that but it wasn't "Orton,Orton,Orton" and "Yeah"!(Well Armageddon&Wrestlemania but wasn't that loud) cause he's not a face. You think Orton should get cheered in his matches? You think Orton should get cheered when he wins? THAT is called "Being OVER". That is called a traded wrestler to Raw getting a reaction from the crowd. If Shelton Benjamin get reactions from the crowd every week,he will be over. If a wrestler has been getting hot or mild reactions from the crowd every week for months,he/she is over. Orton is over. You know he is but you want to stale up threads and get every one that dislike Orton to be like you and repeat and repeat. No wrestling fan breath for Orton like you do. Also,Orton has got louder heel heat then Shelton Benjamin has ever gotten.Who cares though?

Shane was part of the creative process back in 01...Stephanie mention on Howard Stern back in 02 that he had parted ways with the creative team...there was a rumor the reason he left the creative team was due to the infamous "Triple H Effect" and the direction it was going... Right now he is still the President of WWE's Internet Divsion or whatever the hell it is now...but he has always been invovled with the company and is likely to take over once Vince gives it up.. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted March 31, 2004 Also,Orton has got louder heel heat then Shelton Benjamin has ever gotten.Who cares though? Excuse me (laughs in the corner for 3 hrs) Ok, back. Benjamin got over by jobbing to main eventers when he was with Team Angle, and not pushed as the next big thing. He got reactions to the point most smarks enjoyed the WGTT and the fact they know how to wrestle and not botch moves. Saying Orton is more over because a little girl who is a plant in the crowd screamed boo doesn't cut it. Stop trying to flame bait people into arguing. And also MixxMaster needs to stop flame baiting people with the Orton hate every day.
