EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 That's a web gem right there. Moises Alou singles, double play.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 A double play, and Anglesault watching a non-Yankees game. Truly, a banner day for baseball.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Wait, David Wells isn't the opening day starter?
Styles Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 2 on! Come on Reds! EDIT: Ah shit, Larkin strikes out. O well. I like the Reds since my Uncle lives in Cincinatti and is a Reds fan.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I don't know what Miley was thinking. You let Olmedo hit, so it was safe to bring in Jr to pinch hit for Larkin since Olmedo is a SS. Â But whatever.
Styles Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I would also agree to make this just the OAO Opening Day thread, because this thing will become impossible to manage. Proposal: Every Day someone could create the OAO MLB Games thread.
Styles Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 What is up with those Padres roadies, those are FUG-LY. They look copper colored. I'm debating who's new uniforms look worse, Toronto's or Sand Diegos...
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Proposal: Every Day someone could create the OAO MLB Games thread. Â That would be hideous. If you desperately need to give ongoing commentary of a game, find a live chat.

Guest Anglesault Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 A double play, and Anglesault watching a non-Yankees game. Truly, a banner day for baseball. I watch plenty of non-Yankee games. I like to know my enemy.

Slayer Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I like to know my enemy. Must be hard having to know the rest of the world

I like to know my farm system. There, fixed it.  Hehe, atleast thats how it was with Bowden. Not anymore tho~!

Gert T Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 For the Reds it will be just like last year. Can the OF stay healthy and will the starters be able to eat up enough innings so the relief pitchers won't be logging too many innings by June? Â Â Â C'mon Cards, bring out the bats.

EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 What a game in Kansas City. The White Sox held a 7-3 lead over the Royals going into the bottom of the 9th. The Royals closed the gap to 7-4, and Chicago brought in new closer Damaso Marte, with one out and two on. Mendy Lopez hit a home run to tie the game. Marte walked Berroa, and Carlos Beltran hit a walk-off home run to win it.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 The Royals started the comeback off of Koch.

Marte walked Berroa, and Carlos Beltran hit a walk-off home run to win it. The Royals are going to be fun to watch this year. Â The Cardinals, on the other hand...well, at least Esteban Yan isn't around. Why exactly are we batting Ray Lankford in the No. 2 slot again?
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 The Royals started the comeback off of Koch. I think that White Sox fans are in for a long season then. Who else do they have?
razazteca Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Mesa is closing for the Pirates. He should do better than Koch.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 The funny thing is, I just played MVP Baseball, thinking I could do better. I lost 3-2, and Mesa got the save. Damn Mesa.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Roy Oswalt is kicking ass. Note to Harold Reynolds: This is why he is their poening day starter.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Harold Reynolds was being stupid.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I was hoping Kruk would just haul off and slap him. And Ravach too while he's at it.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 let me just say as a long time Sox fan, none of this suprises me
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 It looks like Kip Wells had a great game for my fantasy team. Add the Phillies to the list of good eastern teams that got beat by crap on opening day.
