Chad Daniel Crawford, 23, was charged with cruelty to animals and vandalism Tuesday in the death of Gizmo, a 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier. Crawford was freed on $25,000 bail. Jalani Lewis said he was in his apartment complex when he saw one of three men holding the dog like a football and then saw Crawford kick the animal. Lewis said the dog flew through the air in a high arc, hit the pavement and rolled under a parked car. The dog was apparently dead when it hit the ground and the men were laughing, Lewis said. The attack happened in a rural part of Lake County, near Clermont. Detectives say the unthinkable happened in the woods, on a dirty, moldy mattress on top of a flatbed truck. "If you want to be part of the Redneck Club, this is an act that had to be committed," explains Lt. Todd Luce, Lake County Sheriff's Office. To 14-year-old Andrew Jones (photo below left), detectives say it was initiation into his so-called gang. First, he and an 11-year-old friend are accused of locking a 12-year-old boy in a trailer. They then took his 7-year-old brother inside Jones' trailer and forced him to touch a hot stove, then a live electrical cord. The brothers were then brought to a truck behind the home and forced to perform several sex acts on one another, each time while a switchblade was held to their throat. Shielding her face with her door, Jones' mother admitted she was home at the time, but had no idea what went on. A neighbor and friend couldn't believe it. "It doesn't sound like what he would do. That just doesn't sound right to me," comments Doug Walker. Jones is now facing one count of false imprisonment, two counts of lewd or lascivious battery, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of battery and two counts of sexual battery. The second boy, who's a suspect, has not been charged. That part of the case is now with the State Attorney's Office. He used to put his cat in a microwave for just long enough to stun it but not kill it, and was actually convicted of throwing a cat through a closed window. Another time he was caught injecting his own blood into a ketchup squeeze bottle in a restaurant in the town I grew up in. I had lost touch with that circle of friends, and hadn't heard anything about Castle in a long-ass time. One time, while flying to Colorado I was reading a magazine and saw an article written about this guy that wrote a book about his daughter's murder. The murderer: Castle. He was talking about how he would be having a convo with someone and just kill the SHIT out of them. I mean, of course if he had a gun, he wins regardless. Simply put, the thing that separates serial killers from the rest of us has nothing to do with their ability to kick ass or not, moreso how far they are willing to go to hurt someone/something. They can very well get their asses handed to them too. Although I doubt there are alot of people here that are well versed in ass handing. But you are right.
