Wladimir Klitschko...

Where did he go wrong ?

How do you go from the next big thing to losing to Corrie Sanders and Lamon freaking Brewster ? Lamon Brewster ?

Wladimir has so much talent, but it's obvious that his jaw is made of glass, he has no heart, and he doesn't know how to pace himself.

In my opinion, right now... his boxing career is done. He is a Doctor, so he does have a career to fall back on.

I feel bad for Vitali. Now, it seems like all the pressure to carry the family name and fix up the mess is on his back.

I just saw the highlight on ESPN: Brewster ROCKED Klitchko quite a few times -- just f'n clobbered him -- but he didn't go down easy.

I had the fight on tape...and waited to click this link or even read the subtitle until I finished the fight.

So I'm in the 4th round and Klitschko is killing Brewster...so I gave in and said...this must be a "Wlad is back in form" kind of thread.

Now I'm surprised...and will go back to watching what must be a real entertaining ending.

I honestly thought that this was Wladimir's chance to redeem himself, and instead, he pretty much signaled the end of his boxing career. Like Roy Jones said many times, it's up to Vitali to bring back the Klitschko name to prominance, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Corrie Sanders pull another upset. Either way, the Sanders-Klitschko fight should be good for many reasons.

bps, don't waste your time with the Wlad fight. If you taped Spinks/Judah, watch that instead... excellent fight.

Although, the judges pretty much screwed Judah over with the scores.

I saw the whole Wlad fight. He was doing well but what I noticed is that every single time he gets hit with a power punch on the face he gets dazed and rocked. His chin is weak as hell, and i've never seen anyone run out of gas like that. The ref had to stop the fight cause the guy could barely freakin walk and couldn't even keep his eyes open. Unbelievable how far he has fallen.

In all honesty, I thought Wladimir was a lot more tired and exhuasted then he was hurt. I think he was more scared when he got hit, then hurt. I think the ref was wrong to call that initial backward stepping into the ropes a standing 8 count in the first place. I mean it wasn't like Wladimir was sitting on the ropes like some fighters do, he was just backed up against them, and Brewster wasn't sitting there laying it on him. I just don't understand how Emanual Stewart could not have Wladimir in better condition for this. He was basically slaughtering Brewster for a few rounds, before being totally out of breath. I think Stewart wanted Wladimir to box, but after that 2nd round he should have told Wladimir just to go finish the dude off, no reason for him to sit around and paw and poke at a fighter that was ready to go. I didn't appreciate Roy Jones post fight saying how both Klitchko's have glass jaws though, as Vitali took some monster shots from Lewis and kept moving forward.

To me what I saw more then anything was that it isn't that Wladimir can't take a punch, rather he doesn't know how to react when he does. I mean I only saw one big punch from Brewster that hurt Wladimir, but Wlad seemed scared after any punch connected on him, even when it didn't necessarily hurt him.

I'd have to rank Wladimir K. as one of the most dissapointing fighters over the past decade, if he in fact never comes back from this. I'd probably rank Naseem Hamed #2 since he in fact never came back after his first loss.

Vitali vs. Corrie Sanders certainly will have a lot more people watching now. Vitali looked fine and actually quite dominant over Kirk Johnson(yeh it's kirk johnson but hey oh well). I don't think Vitali wil dissapoint, but at the same time, I don't think Corrie Sanders is popular enough for people to know that he is a very capable fighter. Of course he is also one loss from just walking away from the sport anyway, but I don't like how people consider him some lucky bum that exposed Wladimir.

For me, #1 is Ike Ibeabuchi. What could have been.......

Andrew Golota. Guy was a tank, had a great presence in the ring, but couldn't compete because he was undisciplined and friggin' nuts. His coming up fight against Samson Po-Uha was a total bloodbath where he took a chunk out of the samoan's neck, got cut up to hell, got knocked down, and recovered to win by KO. Then he beat the shit out of Riddick Bowe twice and went to crap in the process.

Isn't Golata fighting Chris Byrd? Golata was a tank, but he was also sloppy as hell.

Tanks are not precise finesse instruments. They hit very hard and take a beating.

He's fighting BYRD??? Oh man..This could be my favorite fight, or the worst fight ever. I thought he had to retire after going into seizures due to a blood clot in his brain after the Tyson fight, which was part of some other horrible problem.

Well Teddy Atlas just dropped the bomb that Wladimir K. is a diabetic and supposedly it is possible that he has been covering it up in order to fight. Diabetics while being able to fully function under medication, should probably not be boxing, because exerting that much energy in such a shot time, could render their meds useless, unless they were getting some insulin between rounds(LOL, yeah right). This could more then explain why Wlad went from spring chicken to old trout, in a matter of minutes, and no, I don't think it was Brewster's punches because Wlad looked a lot more tired then he did hurt. More to Come....

I was watching with my friends and I starting talking about that time on OZ when Ryan was drugging all the guys boxing Cyrals water. I was saying that someone needs to check his water because there is wearing down and there is what the fuck happened in that fight. He didn't even look like he got tired over time. One minute he was fine and the next he was about to collapse.

I think he was getting over earlier due to quick matches.
