Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 All things considered, it could be much worse, AS. Mussina was in pretty big trouble the first three innings (including two bases loaded situations) and he escaped each time with little or no harm done. It's the Yanks' bats that are lacking here. Mussiana isn't pitching that well, but he's getting out of jams. And as I type that, Manny homers. I'm paying more attention to the Cubs game, where Alex Gonzalez just made a very spiffy double play that would've resulted in a run (most likely) had he not caught the ball. But since he was able to nab the line drive up the middle, he doubled Lidle off of second.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Moose WILL NOT STAND for that "getting back in the game" stuff.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 17, 2004 All things considered, it could be much worse, AS. All the other team really has to do anymore is score four runs to beat us.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 17, 2004 It's a shame Nomah is out. The Bleacher Creatures were gonna chant "They don't want you"
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted April 17, 2004 and then Johnny Damon would have looked up into the Bleachers confused while Nomah stands at SS not able to hear them.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 If there is a way for me to have Billy Wagner's love child, I will find it. The whole 100 MPH deal is awesome. I am going to be pissed if there is not a save situation tomorrow. I want Enter Sandman and I want to cheer the three digits.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Last year, Wagner threw 159 pitches that topped 100 mph. Bartolo Colon was 2nd, with 12.

treble 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 This 'closer by committee' bullshit is coming back to bite the Jays in the ass. Anytime they've given someone a chance to either save the game or keep it close, they've blown it.
treble 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Oh, and I'll bet the Jays get 1 run in the bottom of the 9th now, and if they had someone reliable in the bullpen it would have meant a win.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 I predict the Orioles do what the Blue Jays did last year. Nothing? Im going to assume he meant finish in 3rd place. So... Nothing? Considering the Orioles have finished in 4th place the last 6 years in a row, 3rd place this year, although somewhat of a disapointment, would be an improvement over the last 6 years. Os win their 3rd straight game, 5-3. Bring out the broom tomorrow for the 3 game sweep of Toronto.
