Also, around that same time, WWE decided to kick Orton's push into hyperdrive, but he was actually losing heat at that point. (And you're all kidding yourselves if you don't think that was a major reason for this match.) It was decided to have a 10 man match. If Austin's team (RVD/Booker/Dudleyz/HBK) beat Bischoff's Team (Jericho/Steiner/Christian/Henry/Orton) Austin could randomly attack people again. If Bisch's team won, Austin would be fired. In the end, Randy Orton got the deciding pin over HBK and cost Austin the job, despite everyone else on the team having a much bigger issue with Austin and being better choices to kill off Austin. Bisch rewarded his team with blank check favors for their work. It should be noted that within a month, Austin was rehired for no real reason and allowed to randomly attack people again.

And hell, doesn't Steve Austin owe at least Shawn Michaels a favour? Well, he did... Anyway, Marvin, I was about to disagree with you and use Armageddon as an example until I realised that that was about the last time that we saw them, and after that was when Raw started becoming not as much of a chore to watch, in the least.

That stupid petition... Even though it was 99.9% certain that Austin would be back in with it, WWE.com could have easily tampered with the results anyway. And what's the bet that his leave this time will result in another return ala February 2003?

Well, it was more like Steiner used his favor to get the tag title shot on that one RAW, but he told Test that if they were to be a team, Test had to stop with the bitch thing so he did.
