I'm surprised there isn't much talk on here about Tru Calling. I just watched it for the first time tonight after American Idol, and I must say this show kicks some SERIOUS, SERIOUS ass. I can't believe it took me so long to get on the bandwagon. Does anyone else here watch it?

Exactly the kind of show that Fox has to give a whole year to. It's light and meaningless.

I've recently been a fan of Zack Whatshislongassname. He's just hilarious.

 

I like the show, I've always like these types of gimmick shows a la Early Edition, tho that one did it better. I wanna see where the arc with Jason Priestly goes.

 

EDIT: Well, after trying to find out if it will be canceled, I've read a spoiler regarding the arc. Damn.

What killed it for me was that the first episode didn't hook me in the thirty minutes I gave it, and I turned it off until watching the High School Reunion episode a few months ago.

 

Not a terrible episode, but still nothing that I'll ever bother to watch again unless the preview makes it look interesting.

I actually have watched every episode and was 1 episode away from stopping the pain, when they did something unexpected. They added the person I hate more than anyone, Brandon Walsh. And what has he done? He has now made me really like the show. WTF? I was expecting him to come in and be that bitch Brandon Walsh again. But right now they have him playing tweener and set to go full heel. And I love it. I can't wait now to see when he goes full heel on "Faith". He's starting a lot of shit and its just going to keep getting better. I don' t care if they cancel it, as long as they let the season finish so he can go heel.

It scored high in the ratings last night, peaking at 7 million viewers on the half hour. I think it will be renewed as that really shows what kind of ratings it can achieve if given a decent time slot (and lead in). Plus Eliza is money.

 

Anyway, I've seen the first nine episodes and I like the show a lot. Something that really works in the shows favor is the fact that the producers seem to be listening to the fans, everyone complained about the running in the pilot and that was taken out, everyone didn't like the sister (in a X-Pac heat way) and she was written out and most importantly, everyone asked for an arc and they've delivered that. If they keep that up, the show can be huge.

I am however in love with Lindsey. Although her pineapple hair didn't work for me last night.

What the hell, I didn't see that coming. Tru's parents were Life and Death as well! Man, I love this show. Too bad it's "on the bubble"...they better renew it after all of this Tru vs Jack buildup.
