alfdogg Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 Hey guys, I figured instead of starting up multiple poll threads to see who you thought should win the awards, I'd do this: List your top 5, in order, for these categories: MVP Defensive POTY Rookie OTY Coach OTY Most Improved Sixth Man And send them to me in a PM. Scoring scale is 10 for first, 7 for second, 5 for third, 3 for fourth, 1 for fifth. I know this will take a lot of time to think about, so I'll close voting in two weeks from today, or until I stop getting votes, whichever comes first. That is all.
alfdogg Posted April 19, 2004 Author Report Posted April 19, 2004 Two ballots so far. Well, three counting my votes. But you'll never know what they are. MWAHAHA~
alfdogg Posted April 19, 2004 Author Report Posted April 19, 2004 Not sure if Ginobili actually quailfies for sixth man, but I'll include him since everyone I've got ballots from so far has voted for him.
razazteca Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 MANU~ is now the 1st guard off the bench so I guess he could qualify as 6 man unless there is a minimum number of games needed I don't see why Ginobili can't be the 6 man winner.
alfdogg Posted April 20, 2004 Author Report Posted April 20, 2004 Well Bobby Jackson won it last year and probably started at least 20 games.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I'm planning on submitting a ballot, but I'll need a few days to go over the canidates first.
Vern Gagne Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 If it's not too much to ask could someone post a link, or list some canidates for 6th man, Improved, Defensive. I'd like to make my choices but want somewhat of an idea of who are some deserving canidates.
alfdogg Posted April 20, 2004 Author Report Posted April 20, 2004 Don't have any links, but here are some candidates 6th man ====== Ricky Davis Jamison Boykins Williamson Mo Taylor Harrington Kareem Rush Battier Bobby Jackson Ginobili Raja Bell Improved ======= Jiri Welsch Mark Blount Boozer Jeff McInnis Claxton Yao Ming Jeff Foster Magette QRich James Posey Rafer Alston Michael Redd Trenton Hassell (went from being cut by the Bulls to a starter for Minnesota. That has to count for something) Magloire Dalembert Flip Murray Arroyo Kirilenko Raja Bell Kwame Brown Defensive ======= Artest (won the actual award) Ben Wallace Ratliff Camby J O'Neal Garnett Duncan Kirilenko Snow Christie That's about all I got on defense, really.
alfdogg Posted April 21, 2004 Author Report Posted April 21, 2004 Antawn Jamison will win the 6th man award, according to PTI.
Vern Gagne Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 My choice has well. Anyone else read this Lacy Banks person say they are voting for Jermaine O'Neill for MVP, because Kevin Garnett didn't talk with them.
alfdogg Posted April 22, 2004 Author Report Posted April 22, 2004 I forgot all about Joe Johnson for Most Improved, I got a ballot with him on it last night.
Vern Gagne Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Zach Randolph won Most Improved Player.
Cuban Linx Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 Well at least Portland won something this year.
alfdogg Posted April 23, 2004 Author Report Posted April 23, 2004 Keep in mind I need top 5 for each award, please.
