Foley's promos did a great job to put over his feud with Orton, imagine what Flair's promos could do.

Flair's promos have seemed a bit hit-and-miss of late. When he's on form, he's REALLY on form - but there are times when he hasn't been, and it's been BAD. Foley can always be relied upon to bring goodness to the promo table even if he doesn't quite reach the peak that Flair has been known to on occasion.

Orton/Batista turn on Flair. Flair starts managing Benjamin and provides him with the knowledge to help take out Orton. Once Benjamin is IC Champion, Flair finds someone else to manage too, and starts to groom him into someone who can take out Orton and Batista.

Eventually, Orton challenges Flair to a one off match, which allows the promos and the rub for Orton...plus Flair can be a manager.

Only problem is the person Flair grooms to go after Batista and Orton...

Last night got me to thinking: Who hasn't beaten Ric Flair? I mean, the guy has lost to Jericho, HHH, HBK, Brock, Benjamin, Vince Mcmahon, and Rico. Does beating him men anything anymore?

I'll admit it: Orton has finally impressed me. Upon reviewing what both Foley and he did last night I decided to give the guy a break. He's main event talent, but I don't think they should push him to the top just yet. I'd wait until at least SS for him to get the top spot.

As for now:

HBK/Benoit

(w/Flair)Orton/Benjamin(w/Foley)

Kane/Eugene (big read retard vs. you get the idea)

La Resistance vs. Hurricane and Rosie for the titles.

Gail Kim vs. Victoria

Christian vs. Jericho (cage match)

Cade vs. Tajiri

HHH on vacation

He is not "main event talent" yet. He still:

1) is pedestrian on the mic, which would be passable if he wasn't...

2) white bread in the ring - he can't carry lesser workers (ignoring the fact that he is a lesser worker himself) to a good match, or make others look better than they are, which is what "main event talent" is/will be expected to do.

3) hasn't proven he can carry a feud. Foley made the feud w/ Orton, and I don't see the same ability in Orton. Let's see what he can do when Foley isn't around to cover up Orton's weaknesses before we annoint him a ME'er. That's something else a ME-er wil be expected to do, and as of yet, he hasn't shown he can do it.

Also, I'm not buying the RKO as a ME-level finisher. The leaping in the air style just doesn't look good, plus it leaves him open for making it look sloppy. He really should work on making it look more DDP-like.

Did he impress people? Sure, he showed he's got heart and is willing to take a beating, but let's not go overboard with the praise. Landing on thumbtacks and falling off the stage does not a ME'er make. He's got work to do before he'll be able to be taken seriously as a "main event talent".

If you want to turn Edge Heel, I say go the Brian Pillman route.

Turn him into this scathing heel promo cutting dick. No more pandering to the crowd for pops. Just let him be vicious on the mic.

Show edge gotten Diabolical ever since the attack...Attacking random people but laughing uncontroably.

I predict a tag match tonight will happen betwen Molly / Gail and Victoria / Lita judging from last night's post match beatdown.
