Nighthawk Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Correcting the assumption that a singular artist is plural due to their name is something I'm used to, because of Aphex Twin. But, yeah, I'm down with The Streets a little, more for the b-boy breakbeat side than the rap side, but he ain't all that.
Mecha Mummy Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 See, I should've known this, but I didn't because like I said, I don't particularly care for him at all. And "The Streets" is just ASKING for being referred to in the plural sense.
Guest Museite Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 I'd be more inclined to blamed Busted and McFly for holding back half-decent songs lately in the UK single's charts...I was looking at the Drive Thru label thread and I'd gladly take almost all those bands at No1 rather than Busted/McFly...
TheFranchise Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 But, yeah, I'm down with The Streets a little They and the Spice Girls both rule. Yeah.
Red Baron Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Hey, southampton fucking rule , what team do you support? Chelsea

Hey, lets not be bringing the Busted-hate here. If you can name me a better pop song than Year 3000 or Crashed The Wedding, I'll be shocked. McFly, yeah, they suck, but Busted=goodness.
Guest Museite Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 It's not hate as such. I find Busted videos to be more disturbing than Eminem's...Crashed The Wedding while being highly catchy, had a trés disturbing video. A better pop song than Year 3000? Maybe Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Through This, as it was highly infectious. One of the guys from McFly apparently lives a few roads away from me...shocking.
Guest Random Hero Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Hole In the Head by The Sugababes is by far better than anything Busted has ever produced.
DCMaximo Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Hole In the Head by The Sugababes is by far better than anything Busted has ever produced. Blasphemy! Hole In The Head was good, but Crashed The Wedding is catchy as sin. And having just heard Air Hostess, the lyric "I messed my pants as we flew over France" instantly proves the genius of Busted.
Guest Random Hero Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 What's the deal with that song? They do exactly the same 'Na Na Na Na' that was in one of their other songs (You Said No?). I still think 'What I Go To School For' is their best effort to date.

Pants & France is a rhyme? That's what I love about Busted fans, they take something that Busted do which usually isn't associated with genius and call it genius. But whatever, there is a time for Busted...usually after several pints of an alcoholic beverage.
Guest hunger4unger Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 Eminem is more of an "album artist", much like Dido, where people buy the album and therefore dont need to/want to buy the singles. Couple that with the fact that a lot of people just download the tracks you have your answer. As for Busted..well they haven't put out a bad song yet.
