Guest UncleJesseMark Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Hey, I'm a history major, and you have to understand, The Japanese, though they may be "allies" as you call them, but that doesn't mean that they are our friends, before we dropped "the bomb" over Hiroshima and Nagasaki we fire bombed most of the major cities in the Country, and after decimating the Civilian population of the country, we couldn't have effectively taken on a ground campaign because of the massive number of troops in Japan. That's why Truman dropped the bombs, that, and the fact that the Russians were moving farther east through the Japanese mainland. Anyways, long history lesson short, we, in one day, took the Japanese from a Superpower to a third world country. They have recovered a bit, but only on the coast and in major cities. If you think they are our friends, they are not. Hirohito is dead, treated his people like dirt, and despised the United States for imposing the Holly Smoot Tariff. Now THAT is heel heat Holly Smoot WHOOOOOO!!!

Japan doesn't hate the US, period. People there for the most part don't want to be in Iraq, but there is NO deep seeded hatred of the US, its totally the opposite. But the fans loved the "evil gagins", Hansen would jump in the crowd, scare little kids and chase them around, but they would still cheer him. Most of the gagins also didn't have an "Anit-Japan" or even "Pro-U.S.A" alliance, they were just there to kick ass and do crazy shit. This is just from what I've seen in All Japan. In the early 90's, Taue and Kawada were more heelish than the majority of the gagins.

If we want to get down to it, I do not think America is horrible. I think America is a country with some work to be done, and I do not think Japan is great. I think some of their traditions and culture are cool(the concept of the samurai, the design of the katana, anime, some of their music, etc.) I happen to be on this board this time, unlike when La Res came out, and I am thus complaining about it. As I also stated, I am also ticked because of their mishandling of Ultimo. We can go on forever about this if you like, but I'm willing to just agree to disagree now. Deal?

I know nothing about that, but it's pretty obvious the fans love the gajins when for years they were the biggest draws and at times have had more fan support than the natives. Ever see Can Am Connection vs. Footlose 6/5/89? The fans are clearly behind the Can Ams, while they "boo" the hell out of Kawada and Fuyuki who are playing the roles of the heels.
