Recommended Posts

I have a good candidate for that honor..

I checked out a book titled "The Ku Klux Klan in the Southwest" (about the Klan in AR, OK, TX and LA), and inside the book is a KKK business card.

Here's a slightly edited version of the card:

Anyways, what's the weirdest stuff you've found stuck in books, or posters, or anything else?

When you said "anywhere else" in the subtitle, I thought you meant "You know, in a library book, or... anywhere else in the world..."

I once found sticky pages inside a sex education book at my primary school.

;)

Back in high shcool I once found someone's lousy report card from the 70s inside of a book that hadn't been checked out since like 78 or so. That was back in the early 90s to give you some perspective.

I'll say what everyone's thinking: Could you show us the report card or give us the gist of it?

I've never found anything *in* a library book. But during my freshmen year of university, I rented a room in one of those big rooming houses/buildings that are usually filled with college students and lonely, social rejects that are in their mid 40's and still talk to their mothers at least 3 times a day, whether she's still alive or not. Anyway, one day, I was trying to scrape a paint blotch off the floor and I noticed that one of the floor boards were loose. I pulled it up and found 6 books from another local school hidden inside. I didn't know what I should do with them, so I just put them back and never mentioned it to anyone. Seemed pretty odd, though.

My ex-girlfriends sister was into Photography so the kid she babysat's grandfather gave her a book on photography. In this book was some old photo of some naked chick. This picture looked like it was taken with the 1st camera ever invented.

Condom. I'll say what you're all thinking- used or not used. ;)

Out of wrapper but apparently not used unless his friend's called him stubby.

I didn't keep the report card and all I can remember about it was that it was comprised of mostly C's and D's. Oh, and one F. No wonder they wanted rid of it, eh?

This is kind of off topic but still funny. During the end of my senior year in high school, some friends and I started stealing textbooks from classrooms and books out of the library and piling them up in an empty locker across from mine. We then got so many that we'd take a few home day by day, and basically we prepared for a bonfire after graduation, using all the books. Anyways, someone tells on us and we get called to the principle's office. We all deny it, etc etc. They check our lockers, nothing. Anyways, later that day I'm walking down the hall and the principle and a staff member are going through some more lockers. They fling open the one and a shitload of books fall out onto the floor. I can't help but start to laugh, and the guy goes nuts at me. The staff member had to hold him back as he yells "I can't wait until you fucking kids are out of this school! You're like fucking rats in a maze!"

Having a principle say the F-word to you is very strange, yet very funny.
