alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 1st team ====== F: Kevin Garnett (unanimous selection) F: Tim Duncan C: Shaquille O'Neal G: Kobe Bryant G: Jason Kidd 2nd team ====== F: Jermaine O'Neal F: Peja Stojakovic C: Ben Wallace G: Tracy McGrady G: Sam Cassell 3rd team ====== F: Ron Artest F: Dirk Nowitzki C: Yao Ming G: Baron Davis G: Michael Redd No Randolph. No Pierce. No LeBron or Carmelo. No Brand. No Odom. No AK-47. But dammit, get Dirk in there. He's big AND can shoot 3's, nevermind the fact that George Mikan could walk on the court today and drop 40 on him. And that McGrady, forget the fact that he's a whiner who has no heart and only cares about stats, he can throw down a MEAN dunk, boy. And I know I wouldn't have slept tonight knowing Kobe made *gasp* SECOND TEAM. Thanks for that, also. Other than that, looks good, though I *may* have had Brad Miller in Yao's spot. Discuss. Steviekick 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I agree with your thoughts on Miller over Yao, but I'm more inclined with going with Yao. Mcgrady being on there is a joke. By that logic that you have to put popular players on the team just because they are popular and they've had a bad season, Iverson should have been on there as well. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I question Shaq being all NBA first team, missed a lot of games and hardly dominant as he once was. Then again, i can't think of any other centers, so why not? Brad Miller definately shoulda made the squad though, absolute workhorse.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Tracy McGrady should have made first team. Just because his team had a bad season doesn't mean he did. He LED the NBA in scoring. Brand should have made second team. I think Miller played most of the season at power forward, so I can't see placing him. If he played center, then he might rank. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 The only problem with McGrady making the 2nd team is he missed a significiant amount of time because of injuries.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 The only problem with McGrady making the 2nd team is he missed a significiant amount of time because of injuries. Lets judge it fairly then. McGrady played 67 games. So did Baron Davis. Duncan played 69. Bryant played 65. Shaq played 67. Brad Miller played 72. Elton Brand played 69 games. Jason Kidd played 67 games. Should we bump all these guys from consideration?

EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Maybe if they had an All-NBA 12th team, Sprewell would get some recognition.

Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 26, 2004 Just one question.... Why isn't Tim Duncan playing Center?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2004 For the Spurs, or on this team?
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 26, 2004 For the Spurs. I understand having Duncan play PF while Robinson was around, but why not now? Couldn't Duncan start at center while Malik Rose/Robert Horry starts at PF? Yet during the off-season, everyone was like, "What are the Spurrs going to do about getting a center?" Why? They already have a MVP-caliber center on their roster. Had Jermaine O'Neal signed with SA, it would have been interesting to see who played what position. Guest NCJ Report post Posted April 27, 2004 Kobe Bryant on the all defensive first team is a joke. He is without a doubt the most overrated defender in the game. I give him credit for playing hard when the cameras are on, but he always gets lit up no matter who they play him on. Honestly LeBron, Eddie Jones, Jason Kidd, Doug Christie, Paul Pierce, Dwayne Wade, Josh Howard, Shawn Marion, Baron Davis, and Manu Ginobli were all better perimeter defenders than Bryant was this year. Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I'm glad Sam Cassell is finally being recognized and all, and I like Michael Redd, but come on.....who wouldn't take LeBron James over both of those guys any day?
Guest NCJ Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Honestly I would take LeBron over them in the future, but this year I definately think that Sam should have been selected over LeBron. Redd is a great scorer, but that is all he can really do. I would have went with someone else other than him. LeBron would definately be a possibility.
