Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 Seriously, keeping his appearances special is just a bullshit excuse for there being nothing for him. That will only escalate if he doesn't get to run with the ball again, and will degrade him, the gimmick and the company. Um, so you're saying that if they don't give Taker another title run, then the company will be degraded? Not even a deluded Taker mark such as myself is *that* delusional. No, what I'm saying is that when you have a gimmick and a return as heavily hyped as his, it's both unbelievable and stupid for him not to chase the title, let alone be kept off the shows altogether, except for the rare appearance, and even that right now (Booker T) looks like it won't be anything worth watching. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2004 Booker/Taker will be a hell of a lot more worth watching than Eddie/Taker. It'd be retarded for them to turn Eddie heel just to face Taker, and Deadman's current incarnation is a babyface as well. I see your point though, they did have a Lesnar feud planned however. UYI I wouldn't exactly mark out for either - Eddy/'Taker because I doubt that it'd be too good of a match unless Eddy can carry 'Taker like Angle and because the possibility of a new WWE Champion is there. As for Booker/Undertaker, either Booker's being squashed for no reason (unless he's retiring, which would be a bogus way to go out), or... 'Taker unbelievably jobs clean. They could have Booker win with help, but if he's retiring, there's no real point, and it still would hurt 'Taker.
Secret Agent 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Well, call me stupid, BUT... after watching the WM 20 DVD this afternoon, I loved Undertaker's return. Kane needed to quit talking though, and the match was basic Undertaker stuff we've seen all along. He is probably not on TV because they don't have a plan for him, and had my SD tickets not got stolen out of my car I would have seen if he came out. Anywho, it is quite possible that the idea is to build UT up to a massive monster like status. Nobody can beat him, etc, and finally go out on his back giving a huge rub to whoever beats him. That would be the best thing to do here, IMHO. Oh, and Kane needs to challenge Benoit.
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I loved the build up to Taker attacking Kane at WMXX. What with Kane refusing to believe it was actually Taker until what was standing in front of him hit back. Great stuff. UYI
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I hate this folder...I really do. Undertaker is not capable of wrestling upper midcard matches properly anymore. Everyone bitches about HHH but atleast he can put his working boots on and have great matches occasionally.

Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I haven't advocated an Undertaker mega-push, nor have I said Vince should build Smackdown! around him by placing him in the upper midcard.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 They could have Booker win with help, but if he's retiring, there's no real point, and it still would hurt 'Taker. There's absolutely a point - after Eddie beats Bradshaw, Book should be the next logical challenger. Book beating Taker (with or without help) gives him momentum going into a feud w/ Eddie. Having him job to Taker would be counterproductive, unless someone else is next up for Eddie. But, looking at the SD roster, I can't imagine who else they would use. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Booker should be the one in the title feud NOW rather than Bradshaw. They should of shafted Bradshaw when they dropped Faarooq. It really shows that Vince doesn't care when he trades RVD & Book to SD! so there can be fresh feuds....then feuds them with each other. Fucking retarded. I'd legitimately like to see a Booker/Eddie feud, and I'm sure there is someone RVD could be feuding with. I don't watch Smackdown!, so I'm a little out of it when it comes to the immediate roster.
