ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 There are only six that I can think of off the top of my head. This includes anything that is technically a submission according to the rules. Obviously, Benoit over HHH and HBK at WrestleMania XX. Bret Hart over Ric Flair at Saskatoon in 1992. Shawn Michaels over Bret Hart at Survivor Series 1997. The Rock over Mankind at Royal Rumble 1999. Iron Shiek over Bob Backlund in 1984. Bob Backlund over Bret Hart at Survivor Series 1994. Also, there was a submission fall (a sleeper victory) in the iron man match where HHH beat the Rock at Judgment Day 2000, but I think that just counts as a victory by more falls. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Angle over Austin at Unforgiven 2001. Technically, Austins hand was under the ropes, but he still tapped out. Thats the only one I can think of not mentioned. Edit: Rock over Mankind at Survivor Series 1998.
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Bruno Sammartino over Buddy Rogers in May 1963.

This one I probably would have never gotten. Jason

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Okay lets think of WCW now: Luger over Hogan at that one Nitro Sting over Hogan at Starrcade 97 Edit: Oops
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Benoit over Sid (Souled Out) Did Steiner beat Booker T using the Recliner?
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Bret over Goldberg at Starrcade 99 That wasn't a title change. Bret was defending the title.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Did Steiner beat Booker T using the Recliner? I believe so. Terry Funk won the NWA title with the spinning toe hold, IIRC (yep, really had to go back for WCW).
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Sid won the WCW title in a three-way "Caged Heat" match by making Nash tap out to the Crippler Crossface. The third participant was Ron Harris. Sting beat Hogan with the Scorpion Deathlock at Fall Brawl '99 to win the WCW title.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I'd guess a lot of title changes in the 70's & 80's, unless everyone means the WCW Title dating back to 1991 only.

tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Ric Flair MUST of won a title or two with the Figure Four. I mean he does have sixteen world title wins in his career, and since the figure four is his finishing move, then logically he must of won a few world titles with it right?
