For all the fuss and all the whining and all the complaining that I LOATHE about this place, has anyone even bothered to post any feedback trying to create discussion about any of the matches or shows that he's reviewed? The fact that so many of you are more interested in messengers than messages shows me that a healthy handful of you are fucking idiots who lack maturity. And I can say that because I'm in hardcore discussion. And I could really care less what any of you think of that.

 

You don't like Chris Coey? Don't read his articles, or take it up with him. If you're incapable of doing that, shut the fuck up! You don't like the site? Burn in hell at another message board. See, this is totally wrong. I don't like posting at the board. There came a point when I wanted a smaller community that talked about topics that interested me without descending into ridiculous unfunny one-liners. I had over 6000+ posts at this board at one time. I came to the realization that I wanted quality, not quantity in my wrestling discussion. I get that elsewhere.

 

I have always supported and defended the main site, even when I had nothing to do with it. Talk to teke, JHawk, nik johns, etc. and they will be the first to tell you that I help them with their articles, give feedback, offer support, whatever. I don't hate TSM. It just happens that when I told Sass that I could setup Chris's account, Sass and Chris made me more interested in taking an active role with the front site. JHawk, nik, teke and the others have been here long enough to handle their own. Bringing in new writers and setting them up is something I can do.

 

You've made it clear before at SKNT and on AIM how you feel. Why come back? How'd you put it...TSM is weed to you? It was fun and then it made you sleepy.

 

The weed reference is out of context. I said that TSM is like crack to YOU. You can't stay away... you are an addict. THEN, I said it was like weed to me. No physical addictions. Unfortunately, it doesn't give me the same buzz as when I accumulated 6000+ posts.

 

No one is debating the fact that Coey is a talented writer. That's really not disputable. The mad has talent. But he broke the rules. Yes that doesn't mean that you can't work for the site or vica versa. Austinhhh4life got fired from TSM but still postes, and I'm sure there are other cases.

 

It becomes disputable when 15 year old posters say that he is (to paraphrase) a worthess waste of life.

 

But Coey inspired larger and more complex feelings from the posters...and last I checked the posters are the TSM readers. Why hire someone that it's known that most people dislike?

 

Because, as you admit... he can write. I have had disputes with Chris. Loss has had disputes with him but we enjoy the product he offers and if he can inspire more WRESTLING fans to think more critically about the product, than it will all be worth it. It was because of Chris and Sass coming on board that made me take interest in being a more active part of the main site, as stated before.

 

Anyway I'm glad to see you posting again,

As mentioned in the previous thread, people have become lazy writers and we have become lazy readers. If Chris can light a fire up people's asses then so be it. I know, Chris knows, Sass knows, Loss knows, Tom knows that Chris was being abrasive, sarcastic and posturing as a result of people giving him credit for being a good writer. If the 15 year old kid wants to challenge or insult someone then he should certainly have the goods to back it up.

 

And how do I get a negative stigma from one fucking post in one fucking thread? Or was it because I answered a question in the puro folder that negated your argument about *surprise, surprise*... Chris Coey?

 

Now I'm going to have to REALLY disagree here. They're voicing their opinions. And what the heck is wrong with that. And the way you're treating them isn't much of a show of "solidarity" is it?

 

If you bothered to actually read the post, I was perfectly fine with Jay's and bps's stance. I do have a problem wih the 15 year old's stance because he has never made one effective argument. His obsession with hating Chris is reaching Dave O' Idiot levels.

Didn't he just post a piece that was all about HIM the messenger than anything wrestling related?

 

If he just wrote great reviews for the site, that would be one thing, but allowing him to be an asshole on the front page of TSM is a bad fucking idea.

Telling people who give up their free time that they're obligated to behave in a specific way because of that sacrifice is weak.

And Ricky's problem isn't his words, it's the fact that he's been Captain Save-A-Coey for the past two days.

For the 2nd one, I thought it was so fucking obvious. To me, it was basically a way of saying "Don't pigeonhole me. I don't think Chris has ever written a RAW report. I don't even know if he wastes his time on WWE tv... but if he does, I think it will probably be well worth the read.
