BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 All I wanted to do was see how well Lacey Chabert had grown up You can get that by watching Not Another Teen Movie though she's only in a brief cameo

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Girl Next Door was an R-rated piece of garbage, and Euro Trip was part of the teen gross out comedy which seems to be on the drop again. Mean Girls is something teens can actually, you know RELATE too in a way. I doubt many guys here in school bumped into a girl who turned out to be a former porn star and still went out with her after discovery said fact. Mean Girls has a new girl, who looks just fine, trying to get into the group of popular girls because they control the school and she desperately needs friends. However they are just out to use and abuse her so she fights back. Girls can relate to that storyline better than the porn star or EURO TRIP (yeah, lots of girls have french kissed their brother) and guys will go for the four hot females in short outfits and Lohan in a push-up bra. Mean Girls also looks like a cute film, just not my style. But I'm not shocked at all, it had no competition and a storyline that is cookie cutter get back at the popular girls. And the only way it would be like HEATHERS is if some people started dying.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Like any teen actually pays attention to what the story of a movie's going to be, besides it's a teen movie. Here's a conversation between me and my 13 year old sister. "What movie are you going see?" "I don't know." "What's it about?" "I don't know. Wtf, we're just going see a movie." I know your sister seems overbearing, but she didn't deserve a "wtf" 'course, you could've pulled a Lightning Flik and whacked her with a frying pan Lindsey Lohan in a halter top on SNL How many times has Bob come in the last fifteen minutes? bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 I saw the dress rehearsal for the show- it's not very good. Everyone should see Mean Girls- Tina Fey's writing is brilliant, Tim Meadows is hilarious and it's just a great very funny movie. It's getting positive reviews for a reason
DMann2003 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 It's getting positive reviews for a reason I thought that Harry Potter sketch was pretty funny. What do you think of Forte's W?
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 The Harry Potter skit was my favourite- and I really enjoyed Forte's W. But so far they are cutting this show very poorly
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 How many times has Bob come in the last fifteen minutes? None. He thinks she's ugly because of freckles, remember. LMAO @ the Harry Potter skit. best snl skit in 30 years.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 That's because she doesn't want to talk to you, not because she doesn't know. No, she really doesn't know. But I might go see it, and I could give a shit what the story is too, heh. So..

LMAO @ the Harry Potter skit. best snl skit in 30 years. I did concede that I find her a lot more attractive after meeting her. And yes- the Harry Potter skit owned so much. That's the only T&A skit involving Lindsay chaos- the show is downhill from here

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 What the hell was up with the Debbie Downer sketch? In dress they lost it a bit towards the end. Rachel just screwed up her lines and that was it. I don't like cracking up but Lindsay Lohan's attempts to stay in character for .00001 seconds and then failing miserably was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 I can't believe Fred lost it. I remember in Gary's Fish Tanks when he just sat there and stared at Horatio and Jimmy as they lost it and his expression didn't change
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 I can't believe Fred lost it. I remember in Gary's Fish Tanks when he just sat there and stared at Horatio and Jimmy as they lost it and his expression didn't change Compared to everybody else, he was stonefaced. And the Harry Potter sketch = one of the best sketches this season "I've got to tame the dragon." "You got a new pet?" "NO."
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 I thought that skit with Amy and Lindsay having a sleepover had cut written all over it. Thank God SNL proved me wrong. Yea- the Harry Potter skit I gave ****1/4. I kinda feel dirty giving it more
NYU 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 I was finding the Debbie Downer sketch to be hilarious, even before everyone started cracking up. But then, once everyone started laughing, the sketch managed to become even funnier. One of the highlights of the skit had to be when the camera did a close up of Rachel, complete with foghorn sound effect, and she completely burst in front of the camera. Then, later on, she had to puff her cheeks just to try to stop. It was one of my favorite SNL sketches this season.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Anyone else notice during the closing Usher was constantly staring at Lindsay's chest, heh
Ed Wood Caulfield 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 I noticed it. It wasn't so hard to notice seeing as Usher's head was tilted towards her chest and it looked like his eyes were staring at her chest. The Debbie Downers and the Harry Potter sketches were my favorites of this show. I wonder if any of the actors in the Harry Potter sketch felt a little dirty or distrubed that they had to keep looking at a 17-year-old girls chest and act like horndogs over it. But all their reactions were great. Has anyone actually seen the girl that plays Hermoine now? She certainly has "grown up" since the first Harry Potter film. And the Debbie Downers sketch was funny before the slip up, but when they all started losing it, I died laughing. Lindsay just breaking down after one second was great. One of the best sketches of the season.

Wait, what were you doing looking at Usher? I STILL feel dirty after that, but I think that we'll all have to admit that they are very nice breasts. Bob, you may have to institute a "cold shower" rating for this one.
