Guest Chasing Dogma Report post Posted May 3, 2004 Look's like a pretty good show's. I'm quite interested in seeing the following Match up, The card's are awesome though. ***Tag Team Title Tournament Qualifying Match*** MATT SYDAL & DELIRIOUS vs. HOMICIDE & B-BOY What has Sydal and Delirious done to deserve this? I think that this is going to be one Pretty stiff match in all honesty. I really do think that Homicide and B-Boy are gunna walking out the winner's, But i could be wrong. I wonder who ansewer's Samoa Joe's challenge though.

IWA seems to be giving the superstar pushes for a good reason. Sydal and Delirious have been putting on great matches. IWA wants to breed them to main event status in the IWA. Sydal and Delirious faced AJ and Jerry Lynn at Simply The Best in great match. I want this push to continue. Both Sydal and Delrious rule.

Surprising that someone that's "Old School" like Heenan would work for the sompany.

They have brought in great wrestlers like Joe,Hero,Danny Daniels,Colt,Sydal,Delrious,The Pitbulls,Collyer, Cannon and more. IWA has had some awesome just wrestling shows this year. Heenan should be impressed with the talent, but I think Heenan knows about all the hardcore stuff becaise of that whole time peroid where ECW and the style of ECW took over. Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 About Heenan...notice that Ian has no hardcore booked for 5/8. He's allowed to book hardcore in Highland, and often does hardcore in Highland (other than thumbtacks after someone complained about Necro Butcher throwing them wildly during a thumbtack match in December and some landing in the crowd). But, it looks as if he's not choosing to do the one-off deathmatch this month to pay respect and impress Heenan. Either way, I'll be marking out huge on Saturday at the show. About Joe's challenge...I could see the following scenario taking place: Joe comes out, announces his challenge over the house mic, Hero comes out to answer it, and Ian or Prazak says they cannot wrestle each other until the night of the tag tournament in their non-tournament match. Hero and Joe still want to wrestle, so Ian/Prazak turns around and books them against the debuting Havana Pitbulls. Either that, or Joe beats the crap out of Emil Sitoci to get Emil over like they did with Trik Davis getting killed by Cash Flo. Overall, these shows look really great. I'm honestly surprised that a good-for-nothing craphole like Lafayette gets B-Boy, Homicide, Red, and the Havana Pitbulls. But, I'm thankful for Ian bringing guys like this to Indiana. This weekend looks to be an excellent weekend for independent professional wrestling.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 Update on this weekend's shows...and not a good one: (from the IWA-MS Message Board) Please note that a change has been made from the original lineups for the events, as unfortunately The Havana Pitbulls will be unable to appear. Rocky Romero is competing in Japan at the time of this weekend's events, and as a result, arrangements were made for Pinoy Boy/Puma to team with Ricky Reyes to comprise the often interchangeable HP tag team for the shows. We got word this week that Puma has made the decision to move to Japan himself, and will now not be in the country at the time of the events either. We then looked into using Bobby Quance as Reyes' partner for the events, but purchasing yet another airline ticket, this late in the game, was not financially feasible. IWA management has made the decision to hold onto the airline tickets for Reyes and Puma to be changed at a future date when both men will be available to appear on an IWA event as a tag team. We apologize for this change, and will make an announcement as to the new opponents for Brad Bradley & Ryan Boz for the 5/8 Highland show as soon as they are determined. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, who was scheduled to manage the HP team in the match, will still appear at the Highland card.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2004 Man I'd love to be able to go to awesome live shows like this. Anyone know of any good indy feds in North Carolina? At least Heenan will still be there, that's pretty cool. Shows should still be really good.

I have to say that it’s a shame that the Havana pit bulls have had to drop off this IWA – MS Show, I really am glad that they will appear in the future, It should be good when they actually do appear. Still it’s nice to see Heenan still being confirmed for this show. Whilst I think that this show could very well be Phenomenal. I really do wish I could actually head to some Independent show’s but being in the UK stops me L

Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted May 4, 2004 Matt vs. Red is a personal dream match of mine...they were the first two people I'd ever heard of doing a shooting star press off the mat instead of the top rope. Should be an entertaining matchup. Wonder what Delirious and Daizee are doing on Saturday's show. (EDIT: I have read that they're working an indy show in the Kansas City area on that Saturday so I guess they won't be working IWA-MS...damn, what a drive, from Indiana to K.C.) -Patrick
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2004 Is there any chance that we could see B-Boy come out as Champ? I'd much rather see B-Boy as champ than Whitmer...but Whitmer's more of a regular, isn't he?
Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2004 BJ usually is, but it seems like he hasn't worked a single show since winning the belt, save for jobbing to Samoa Joe at Simply the Best. B-Boy's actually booked on more upcoming shows than Whitmer, it looks like, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a title switch.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Well what the hell, are they going to bring in Chyna? Nicole Bass? Just not worth the money, Ian! The show sounds pretty fun. I'm guessing Aries vs. Red and the tag team qualifier were the matches to see. And if they announced that this years KOTDM will be the last one ever, it might piss off some of the hardcore fanbase, wouldn't you think? I wouldn't care, and I could see why they wouldn't want to do it, but there might be some backlash from the blood and gore lovers...at least you'd think.
