Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 What sickens me about this the most is the fact that Scott Steiner could've changed pro wrestling. We could have been using his name in the same breath as Austin, Rock, Sting, Flair, ect... He was so good in his prime. He has no one to blame but himself. And Rick. and where is good ol Dogface the healthy Steiner...... oh yea in a place that Sucks Pond water as JR puts it so well.. Last I heard he was booking for which NJPW? I think

justsoyouknow 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 I still vividly remember the angle where he returned to WCW in the wheelchair and gave the speech where he began crying, then popped out of the chair later and joined the NWO. That was a nicely done angle, IMO.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 5, 2004 (edited) Yep. We know AS hates and loathes people like that. Damn straight. And Scott proved me right. He was more worried about Rick Steiner than Scott Steiner, and ended up fucking himself in the ass. Edited May 5, 2004 by Anglesault

It just seems like they don't.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Yep. I believe it was the First Nitro of 2000. Bret and Jarrett even taunted him on the way out in a "subtle" case of forshadowing. Any one remember Spring Stampede 1999 when Steiner taunted all the fans ringside for like 20 minutes and flirted with this one girl and cussed out another fan at the same time "Hey mama! You like what...SHUT THE FUCK UP! you see? Yeah that's right I'm the big bad...IM GONNA KICK YOUR ASS BITCH! Booty Daddy...Holla...YOUR DEAD MOTHERFUCKER! If you hear me". God 1999-2001 Steiner was godly.

It just seems like they don't. So what exactly is your solution? Have Steiner come out every Smackdown! and beat the living piss through everyone? He's worthless on the mic, he gives some of the most incoherrant promos I've ever had the displeasure of hearing, and he risks his life everytime he even tries to walk, yet alone do anything of an extended physical nature. He was also half-killing people in 2001 in WCW with his ultra-stiff moveset, so I wouldn't approve of him being in any matches. I agree with you on the fact that his character is quite entertaining, I said months and months ago that Steiner was one of few guys left that *really* knew how to play an effective heel 100% of the time they were in the ring (such as randomly storming off during a match to go to hit a fan etc.). However, the only solution I can think of where Steiner can showcase this character is in an Austin-like role, and wrestling is just fine without another one of those. Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted May 5, 2004 He'd still wrestle and lose. My point is that having his character on the roster is far greater than not having it. They should utalize it somehow.
Kizzo 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 I actually liked Scott Steiner....he had the potential to become a main eventer if he was booked correctly.....wish him the best of luck in whatever he decides to do after October 2004.....

Poor booking and looking like crap in a match with HHH can ruin anyone's career.

Kizzo 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Use Your Illusion....if he wasn't booked against Triple H and lets say worked a match against someone like Rock or Kurt Angle then just maybe things would a little bit different IMO.. Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Triple H worked his sorry ass off to make Steiner look like something credible at the Royal Rumble, and Steiner still blew it. Have to agree with him. HHH actually tried to make Steiner look good, in his own, quasi-homoerotic way.

Remember the now so famous "Triple H Effect" was running strong in that year as well... Oh, bullshit. Triple H obviously wanted Steiner to come in and be something for the company, after all - he headlined two PPV's with him in the World Title match. No Rock or Angle could of made Steiner look any better. His return blew up in his face because of his own physical condition, which it has already been established in this thread that it is entirely his fault for the way he has ended up today. Guest Quik Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Scott Steiner sounds like he's either completely coked out of his mind or drunk as hell during his promos. Incoherent screaming does not make a good promo.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 5, 2004 it worked for Savage for 18 years...and Piper as well. Steiner was always more fun because the potential for Roid Rage to occur was ALWAYS there and it actually set him OFF more then once in the good ole days of 99-00. UYI That is horseshit. Triple H was in just as bad of physical shape as Steiner. it could be argued that in a calculated attempt to make Steiner look bad, triple H simply took all of the bumps while Steiner was forced to do all fo the work. Triple H did NOTHING in that match, NOTHING.
Enigma 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 I wonder why it took them THIS LONG TO REALIZE HE SUCKED. The whole world knew that at Rumble 2003. No, no, no, that booing was because Steiner was wearing an American flag, and the Canadians didn't like that, and because they're not over Montreal, and uh...the snack bar was out of Coke, and uh...uhm...uh...it's the economy's fault. That joke would have worked if Royal Rumble '03 was not held in Boston, MA.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 5, 2004 WWE: This just in...Boston was brought by France 6 days ago...So thus the newly French-Bostonians weren't pleased with the American Flag.

That was a nicely done angle, IMO. Always beating up Rick after every time he faked an injury especially at Fall Brawl 98 when him and Bagwell jumped out of the ambulance to jump him when his back was turned. Anyways, I would rather have Guerrero face Steiner at a PPV than fucking Bradshaw.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 I always like BPP on the mic, not his WWE days but his late WCW days where he said what he wanted. Espically how he told Ric Flair that all of WWE's current champions at the time except for one were driven out because of Flair's ego. BPP on the mic is good when he isn't limited. Ring wise, lately he's been decent he hasn't sucked since the HHH feud when he first popped up. He could be a good heel on Smackdown till his contract ran out. And when his contract runs out, just have him get fired for not doing something or that. Hell, they did it for Ron Simmons. They can do it for Steiner.
