Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 I already expected them to. I still can't believe they're trying to run on the concept of two PPVs a month. This'll be about as unsuccessful as "This Tuesday In Texas."

TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 They'd need a pretty explosive main event, so expect Triple H vs Shawn Michaels part 4352. Unless it's SD only. Then expect the world title rematch of JBL and Eddie.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 Yep, it's SD only. Bad Blood is June's RAW PPV.

This'll be about as unsuccessful as "This Tuesday In Texas." Well, two WWE PPV's NOW is $70. SSeries 91 was $25, and TTIT was probably under 20 Edit: Forgot to say it will probably do a lot worse than that did back in 1991.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 6, 2004 The only real hot ME they could run on Smackdown would be Eddie-Ang...no...Eddie-Les....No...Eddie-Big Sh...Oh, fuck. Eddie/Jindrak.
NYU 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 They could go the 8-Man Tag route. Eddie/Cena/RVD/Rey vs. Bradshaw/Booker/The Dudleys. It's not perfect, but throw in something like a No-DQ stipulation (because, despite using a WCW name, Vince would never use War Games), and you could have a suitable Smackdown Main Event - at least for this month. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 6, 2004 But then they'd have nothing left for the undercard. Maybe those nobody midcarders can get a PPV match for once, instead of WWE having 7 matches with the same people every month.

Hmmmm...this gives me an idea! See, Vince won't use WarGames, simply because the name isn't copyrighted and he wants to make cash off of it. So...why not have be in the Elimination Chamber? Each cell has TWO people in it, and instead of it being one-on-one to start, it's two-on-two Tornado-style. Could prove to be interesting, although a total clusterfuck. NYU 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 Well, the possibility of moving a guy or two over to Smackdown in preparation for the PPV shouldn't be overlooked by WWE. But considering all of that......it could probably be for the best if they had a 6-Man Tag match as the Main Event. With the right amount of planning - could actually go somewhere around the 40 minute mark. Including the entrances for everybody, the hype-up video before the match, the celebration following the ending.....we're talking about a nice chunk of the PPV being used up. Eddie Guerrero/Rob Van Dam/Rey Misterio vs. Bradshaw/The Dudleys The Undertaker vs. Booker T John Cena vs. Chavo Guerrero Charlie Haas/Rico vs. The Bashams vs. Scotty/Rikishi Cruiserweight Title Match somewhere involving Noble, Kidman, London, Spike.....possibly someone else..... Dawn Marie vs. Torrie Wilson - Evening Gown match, or something of the sort. Any other match you want to throw in here involving Jindrak, Dupree, whomever. And there, that can actually be somewhat of a suitable card for the Smackdown PPV. It's not guaranteed to be good, but it does have a much better chance of surviving than Judgment Day does. Unfortunately, trying to put together a card for the Great American Bash only goes to show you just how much struggling is needed to actually pad out a full Smackdown PPV. Terrible.... Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 But then they'd have nothing left for the undercard. Maybe those nobody midcarders can get a PPV match for once, instead of WWE having 7 matches with the same people every month. The thing is, while many of those "nobody midcarders" are people I enjoy watching and/or would like to see used properly (London, Noble, etc.), let's face it, they've killed the Cruiserweight Division and the members of it, the tag titles are being based off a part-comedy angle, and marks aren't going to buy a PPV where Paul London takes on Chavo Guerrero or Akio/Sakoda take on Haas/Rico because no matter how good the match might be, they aren't stars. Smackdown doesn't have a main event that would sell, short of MAYBE turning UT heel and having him feud with Guerrero, and that would be a big "if".
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 6, 2004 The Undertaker vs. Booker T What issue will these two have after J-Day? Charlie Haas/Rico vs. The Bashams vs. Scotty/Rikishi Please...no...more...Bashams...
NYU 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 The Undertaker vs. Booker T What issue will these two have after J-Day? Well, Booker T would have to win at Judgment Day by some kind of cheating means. Then, following the match, he lays down a brutal beating on Taker - possibly beats up Paul Bearer as well. Then, Taker and Bearer would be gone for a few weeks. Finally, when Taker comes back, he's hell-bent on getting revenge. And there, we have a Taker/Book match for the Great American Bash. Charlie Haas/Rico vs. The Bashams vs. Scotty/Rikishi Please...no...more...Bashams... Eh, the match just seemed to look a little better with another Tag Team in there. Perhaps team up Jindrak and Dupree for a little while, and put them in line for a title shot......
Guest Y2G Report post Posted May 6, 2004 They should definitly shovel some guys over from RAW to SD! if they ever want to sell a PPV. They can pull a Bradshaw Vs. Eddie once. After that no one will buy, not even the marks. As far as the PPV itself go. I liked NY Untouchable card idea: Eddie Guerrero/Rob Van Dam/Rey Misterio vs. Bradshaw/The Dudleys The Undertaker vs. Booker T John Cena vs. Chavo Guerrero Charlie Haas/Rico vs. The Bashams vs. Scotty/Rikishi Cruiserweight Title Match somewhere involving Noble, Kidman, London, Spike.....possibly someone else..... Dawn Marie vs. Torrie Wilson - Evening Gown match, or something of the sort. Any other match you want to throw in here involving Jindrak, Dupree, whomever. Just, Please take out the Torrie/D.Marie thing...Blahhh and Kidman should be out of the loop too. Bring three decent talents over from RAW (Eugene included?) and see how this show can rock. Edit: Nice poster though :-)
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 6, 2004 The Undertaker vs. Booker T What issue will these two have after J-Day? Well, Booker T would have to win at Judgment Day BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Eh, the match just seemed to look a little better with another Tag Team in there Booker T beating Undertaker? Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 6, 2004 God, I miss the good ol' days when almost EVERYONE on the roster got on the PPV. Koko B. Ware, even though he's a jobber, got several PPV matches to be squashed, like SSeries 90 in the Taker Debut, Rumble 91 to the Mountie, and the few WM's he did. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 6, 2004 Only War Games and/or the return of a major name would breath life into this PPV. I'm talking Bret Vs Hogan here...and MAYBE it'll garner over 150k buys.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 The Dudleys will probably wind up feuding with Haas/Rico soon enough by going all '99/'00 Dudleys on them, putting Jackie through a table and having Haas try to be the gallant gentleman who promises revenge, which would lead to his love connection with Jackie and the rumored heel turn on Rico down the line. NYU 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 Well, Booker T would have to win at Judgment Day BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Well, by cheating means, obviously. I wouldn't expect him to get a clean win. Hell, it wouldn't even HAVE to be a win. He grabs a chair and starts beating Taker with it, eventually getting disqualified. Then, cue the brutal beatdown. Listen, Taker has put other people over before. I'm sure he won't completely object to the idea of helping Book out here, considering it would lead to another high-profile match down the line.... Eh, the match just seemed to look a little better with another Tag Team in there Booker T beating Undertaker? The Bashams improving a match? Are you drunk? The Bashams would be there to just add another team to the mix. By no means am I suggesting that they would win or that would put on a **** affair, so feel free to start breathing and soothe the outrage at any time.... Perhaps team up Jindrak and Dupree And/or high? The cocky, French former-Raw superstar teams with the cocky, narcisstic former-Raw superstar. Both would be a little directionless at this point, and WWE is looking to get them both on the screen. Considering their somewhat-similiar personalities could mesh well, there would be no harm in teaming them up for a run in the tag division. Backed by Teddy Long, it IS a team that could possibly get over quite well.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 6, 2004 The sad thing...I could bust out about 20 different "make believe" cards for Raw and come out smelling roses. Here...I can't even think of one that would make me go "mmm"... The only ME event that could work is the RVD Heel turned against Eddy...Throw a Booker/Cena match...Mysterio and Kidman should just reunite the Filthies and go against the Dudleyz...pretend what happens tonight with Chavo never happens and have Chavo/Knoble...Haas(turned) against Rico...Taker can squash...JBL and permantly shove him back to Velocity with Holly and Gunn. Thats all I got. Six lousy fucking matches.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 6, 2004 Realistically, they can throw out Eddy/Taker Booker/Cena Haasico vs. Dudleyz Bradshaw vs. Rikishi Rey vs. (heel) RVD Dupree vs. Spike Los Chavos and Akio/Sakoda vs. Moore/Kidman/London/Scotty with a stip for the cruiser belt.
