cawthon777 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 I still can't believe they're trying to run on the concept of two PPVs a month. This'll be about as unsuccessful as "This Tuesday In Texas." While it's possible the Bash might bomb, that's not a fair comparison. Tuesday in Texas had 6 days of hype and unless you actually saw Survivor Series you missed out on a lot of the build up right there. The Bash will have at least a month to build itself on free TV and will offer completely different talent than the Raw PPV. It's not like you're seeing Tito, Dibiase, Virgil, Skinner, Bret, and Hogan vs. Taker twice in a week.

I can't really think of a feud on SD! (perhaps Eddie/Booker) that could generate the level of interest those two could.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 I'm not a big fan of this poster, but at least it's SOMETHING! Judgment Day never even had a real poster! IT was like WWE gave up on it before the hype even began.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 I have a bad feeling that they're going to go the WMXX => Backlash route of things here and have rematches of Eddie/JBL, Cena/Dupree, and Taker/Booker, maybe this time with stips. (No-DQ, Cage, Casket or something like that). And don't forget about "The Dudley" - they're gonna push Bubba and D-Von in the singles ranks now.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 They should have just recycled this pic for the poster, it would have been much better:

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Way to channel Madusa, in not only the attire, but also the wrinkly face. Not only that, but probably is going to be Cruiser champ sometime soon, as well. It looks like the same hat.. Probably they pulled it out of the WWE Prop Closet for this poster.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Tuesday in Texas had 6 days of hype and unless you actually saw Survivor Series you missed out on a lot of the build up right there. The Bash will have at least a month to build itself on free TV and will offer completely different talent than the Raw PPV. I remember when I was a kid I never heard of that ppv. I remember hearing how Hogan lost the title to Taker due to interferance then one week later he had it back again. I was so lost because I never heard of the ppv even being promoted. Vyce 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 That's a much better poster than the one they went with. They could have had that Angle one, right there, which would make sense seeing as this is the "Great American Bash", and Kurt's an "American hero".....gold medal winner, the whole "Great American" contest, etc...... ....and of course instead they put the big-titted blonde on the poster. Typical. And this is stepping back a bit, but I think Undertaker has a decent shot to lose at JD - if they go ahead and pull the trigger on the Mordecai / Taker feud. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted May 7, 2004 If they are going to do PPV's twice a month twice a year, those additional shows have to have a special draw that's unique to the show. Cruiserweight Tournament would work - it would make a wrestling heavy show. (Yes it would fail because they wouldnt push it but thats not the point) Or the return of KOTR for something REAL - maybe title shot at end of night? WARGAMES is a great idea. Interpromotional title shot - Raw gets shot at Smackdown title one time only per year...something like that. Two normal PPV's at same time and Raw will swallow Smackdown whole. niko
