I don't think he could have done much better, especially for a rookie under all that pressue. Delhomme was AWESOME yesterday, especially with the improvisational bootleg TD.

Bills spokesman Scott Berchtold said, "There is no truth to that whatsoever." McGahee was not available for comment, as the Bills were off Friday in preparation for Saturday's preseason game against Tennessee. McGahee's agent Drew Rosenhaus declined comment. On a couple better notes: I am thrilled with the play of Rod Hood tonight. He was solid when he got into games last year, but tonight is making me more confident he can be a good nickel corner. And Dexter Wynn and J.R. Reed have been awesome on special teams. It does not look like they will skip a beat taking Westbrook away from returning.

FOXSports.com has learned that the Dolphins have agreed to a trade of holdout defensive end Adewale Ogunleye for Bears receiver Marty Booker and a third-round pick in 2005. The deal, however, is dependent upon the Bears reaching a contract agreement with Ogunleye by 7 p.m. ET Saturday. If no deal is reached then the trade would not be complete. Ogunleye has been a holdout this preseason after refusing to come into camp with a restricted tender offer. He had 15 sacks for the Fins a year ago and should dramatically help the Bears pass rush, which recently flip-flopped its defensive ends to juggle things up a bit. Booker had two 1,000-yard-plus seasons during the past three years and should dramatically upgrade the Dolphins passing attack, an attack which recently lost David Boston to a knee injury. Horrid first quarter from both the offense (7 total yards) and defense (170 yards surrendered, 14-0 Cincy). And Cincy starts the 2nd with another TD. Yikes. That gives Urlacher more of a chance to roam free and make plays, rather than be another body to fill holes on the DL.

Isn't David Terrell involved in there somewhere? I'm not shocked by this deal since this IS a Lovie Smith team and he's defensive minded. This just puts all the pressure on Terrell to perform since he'll now be the main target of Rex Grossman.

Last year he had a good season in Baltimore and will now get a chance to resurrect his career in Minnesota.

Yeah, their offense is horrid, I know.....but the Skins offense moved smoothly against the Dolphins starting D which is no joke.....ahh preseason is a bitch.......

Two sources informed the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that there are indications McKenzie could be ready to put an end to the holdout. One told the paper McKenzie recently stopped training in Memphis and might be getting ready to go to Wisconsin. Another said McKenzie had discussed the possibility of reporting with friends but was unsure of his sincerity. Views Looks like they're grasping at anything for positive McKenzie news in Titletown. That being said, McKenzie is due to start collecting his paycheck now that he's missed all the two-a-days and the season is right around the corner. It's about fucking time, though time will tell if this is maybe too late for him. It's really quite silly to demand a new contract when he's in year 3 of a 5-year deal, he should have waited at LEAST until the end of this upcoming season, you know, to really prove his worth as a defensive back in this league.

There is an additional $11 million in fairly makable incentives. The contract will be officially executed Tuesday, when Rivers is expected to practice for the first time since minicamps. I say it is about time. River's agent was trying to hold out for more money and was able to manipulate the media in his favor. When the actual facts came out a week ago, the media and the ESPN crowd were forced to side with the chargers. This is a fair contract for the 4th pick of the draft.

Drew Brees wasn't going to be their answer, so at least they realized it when they were in a position to take one of the top QBs.

That's another thing. Why take a QB is your offense is run-first, pass-second not just by nature but also by design? One of the worst trends in the NFL today is seeing teams pick quarterbacks when they don't really need them, but feel that by picking one all of a sudden all their problems will go away. The Giants didn't need one either, they had one who led them to the Super Bowl in Kerry Collins, yet they felt Eli Manning was an upgrade for the future. Never mind all of the glaring holes on defense or that they don't have anyone that strikes fear into a defense besides Shockey and to an extent, Amani Toomer. Eli Manning is the savior of the franchise!
