Guest glennsoe Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 * This is taken from the "wwe page" right here at smartmarks.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks To Mike Sawyer for the following: Konnan is apparently working in TNA without a contract. He has been telling people that he plans to head over to the WWE in a couple weeks from now. There is also some talk of Eddie Guerrero being the one who is bringing him in to the WWE. The problem is that Vince McMahon doesn’t really like Konnan too much from something that happened a few years back. The only reason Vince would let Konnan in the WWE is because it’s apparently a favor to Eddie Guerrero. Many feel that Konnan is not ready for a run in the WWE, however according to Konnan he will be going there to work something out in the next couple weeks. Eddie Guerrero and Konnan both wrestled in Mexico around the same time period, they also wrestled in WCW in the same time period. They were both members of the WCW stable “The Filthy Animals” from late 1999 to early 2000, right before Eddie left WCW. Working without a contract in TNA means that he is under no obligation to continue working TNA shows for any certain amount of time. Him not having a contract with TNA means he is a free agent and that he can work pretty much anywhere he pleases. Konnan was a huge draw in WCW and is still a crowd pleaser in TNA
TheFranchise Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 So THAT's how TNA are going to compete, have their least talented workers infiltrate the opposition!!

Guest duck420 Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 konnan would be a good announcer and manager but we dont need to see him wrestle.
Guest JacK Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 uhhh, one this isn't actually a spoiler, and if I'm very much mistaken in that, giving it away in the thread description kind of defeats the purpose of going (HUGE Spoiler!!!) Anyway, I'm sure he'll be sorely missed. Yep. Uh huh. Well, if he brings in good wrestlers then maybe, but I'm not sure if he has been (haven't seen a show since they cut us off here in Australia )
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 What will the Spanish Announceing Team (not Joel and Jose, smartass) Do? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK TO FIND OUT!

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 How is this "huge" or a "spoiler"? Look who posted it, and look at what site he credited (THIS FORUM!) then you will get your answer.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 * This is taken from the "wwe page" right here at smartmarks.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Konnan was a huge draw in WCW He wasn't even a Main Eventer... He was barely a mid-carder. and how did he DRAW money? Just because he was in the Wolfpac doesn't mean people bought the shirts for just him.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Konnan will definitely be put on Smackdown in their attempt to kill that show.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Konnan will definitely be put on Smackdown in their attempt to kill that show. The minute they sign Road Dogg back is the day Smackdown dies forever. Or if they put the title on Bradshaw.
thuganomics Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Personally, I think WWE would bring Konnan in just to court Juventud and Psicosis in to the promotion. They've learned that a large demographic of viewers are latino, and they can bring in big name latino stars to make a profit. It's the same principle TNA is using with the Mexico/X-Cup storyline after all.

AAA owns it, and the guy that wrestles as Psicosis isn't the original.......so there goes that idea.
Guest Donners Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Interesting to note Konnan is referred to in the TNA Impact press release. That would be an odd thing to do if he was set to leave.
