Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Shaun Livingston? Man, I used to play with him and his friends in Peoria back in the day. ...he can probably kick my ass now worse than he could then. Comments on the list: -- There's a lot of high-schoolers. I mean, damn. -- Okafor's going number one, because the Magic need someone right now. -- I've got a feeling Araujo is going to be a beast. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted May 18, 2004 um...are you guys just assuming that Orlando is #1, or did the lottery take place without my noticing? And yes, it's happened before. the first pick will be either Howard or Okafor, depending on if the team picking has been previously burned by blowing lottery picks on high schoolers (like the Bulls, for example). if I was picking #1, I would take Deng, but A. I'm not in the lottery B. I don't know what the hell I'm talking about
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Ben Gordon is not a PG. He'll have to play one in the NBA, but he's not one right now. That guy is gonna be the next Randolph Childress, watch. Livingston has skills, but the boy just looks so friggin' skinny. Can you imagine him going into the paint against Rasheed, Ben and Corliss? Injury. Jameer Nelson needs to be higher up, possibly No. 1.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 I phoenix gets the first pick, okafor nor howard would be the first pick. They already have a 21 year old PF for that team. They will be drafting a point or a center (probably Pavel Podkolzine because that sounds like some shit they would do). Every other team I can think of in the draft would go for either okafor or howard with the top picks.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 The way teams draft is such a crap shoot now anyways, it really makes it less interesting. Plus it takes a lot of the fun out of the draft when you only know half of the players that will be taken.

Kid is only 18 and already is 6’11 and 240lbs. He should easily be 7’0/250lbs in a season or two.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Thats what common sense says. Therefore they will draft Pavel because he is 7'4" and 300 lbs and go on the assumption that they can teach him the skills. Actually, the Suns draft exceptionally well, so I shouldn't doubt them here. They just don't trade well. Which means I expect them to trade Shawn Marion for James Posey anytime now. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 What's wrong with James Posey? Not that I'd trade Marion for him, just curious.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 What's wrong with James Posey? Not that I'd trade Marion for him, just curious. Nothing wrong with James Posey. I like James Posey...you just don't trade Shawn Marion for him. Need I remind you: Stephon Marbury/Penny Hardaway - One legged Antonio Mcdyess/Howard Eisley/Marcj Lampe Thats just not close to even. Rodeny Rodgers/Tony Delk - Third string guard Joe johnson/Randy Brown That wasn't even. I still call it a bad trade.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2004 Shaun Livingston? Man, I used to play with him and his friends in Peoria back in the day. Back in the day? He's in high school. When did you two play together -- when you both were in diapers? ...he can probably kick my ass now worse than he could then. For the sake of his NBA career I hope he can, too...
