Can someone explain the circumstances leading up to the Canadian Connection/Two man power trip match?

 

I was watching WWF on and off at the time, and I've seen the all the gold on the line match with Kane and Undertaker, but how did this match come about after that?

I would have to go with Flair Vs. Perfect from 1993 followed by Michaels Vs. Jannetty from 1993 followed by Triple H and Austin Vs. Benoit and Jericho from 2001.

Well, There's been so many great matches. Triple H & Steve Austin vs Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho... RVD vs Christian Ladder Match... Owen vs Bulldog Euro Finals... Tito/Jannetty vs Michaels/Ramon(< I believe that was RAW, maybe it was the Saturday Show) But my top three would have to be..

 

3) Ric Flair vs Mr. Perfect - Retirement Match (1993 I believe)

 

2) Shawn Michaels vs Triple H - World Heavyweight Championship (Last RAW of 2003)

 

and Numero One...

 

1) Marty Jannetty vs Shawn Michaels - WWF Intercontinental Title (1993).

 

Reason for Jannetty/Michaels - Just a phenomenal Match. Too bad they couldn't of switched that with their Royal Rumble 1993 match. The 1993 RR match was a good match, probably ***-***1/2 but this match on RAW was just awesome. Great match but there are so many others to choose from, these are just the three that stick out in my mind.

Austin/Michaels vs. Owen/Davey >>> 2 Man Power Trip/Canadian Connection. Faster pace, better offense, more drama, WAY more intensity, hotter crowd, etc. I love the 5/01 tag, but I love the tag that took place 4 years earlier way more. Another candidate I'd add is Michaels/Foley 8/11/97.
