Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted May 21, 2004 The all time worse Baseball Promotion idea has to go to "Disco Demolition Derby Night" held at Cominsky park back in the 70's. What was supposed to be baseball fans expressing their hatred of disco, turned into an out of control situation which ruined the second game of the double header. Also, it showed the stupidity of the fans who brought their disco albums to be destroyed. If they hated disco that much, why buy the album? You already paid your money for it, and therefore continue to support the genre of music, regardless of destroying the album. Plus it made the fans look like idiots as well. I hate boy band music, but I would never support a night especially dedicated to destroying the albums. Just something that had bad idea written all over it, but the writing was ignored.
