Astro101 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Ah...there's the negativity up in this thread. Anyways, I'll just wait and reserve my opinion until I actually see the product on FSN. I'm optimistic, but we'll see.

Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 1, 2004 Ah...there's the negativity up in this thread. Anyways, I'll just wait and reserve my opinion until I actually see the product on FSN. I'm optimistic, but we'll see. Why is it negativity? I am NOT bashing the product here at all. I am DEFINATELY bashing the place at Universal Studios for sure. It's a terrible place for wrestling and TNA in my opinion is moving from their fanbase which could hurt the way the show comes across on TV........that is all I am saying..... Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Worldwide crowds were also subjected to four hours or so of nonstop squash matches, most of which involving wrestlers that weren't good enough to be on Saturday Night. Considering TNA will only have to tape for two hours (I assume they'll tape some Xplosion and or have dark matches), the crowd won't have time to get super burnt out. We'll see on Friday... Or Saturday, if you're an unlucky fuck like me.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Worldwide crowds were also subjected to four hours or so of nonstop squash matches, most of which involving wrestlers that weren't good enough to be on Saturday Night. Or Saturday, if you're an unlucky fuck like me. That is still not the reason why Worldwide was so bad. First off most of the people there weren't your normal wrestling crowd(Universal studios allowed you to watch the show for no additional cost other than paying to get into Universal), so they didn't follow wrestling to a tee like most fans at live events. Thus the reason why the crowd looked dead half of the time. Much like what will probably happen this time around. I am actually unluckier than you as it doesn't start where I live(pittsburgh) until the 11th.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Hey is Impact a hour long or is two hours? I need to set my VCR and I don't want to tape it for to long.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Universal crowds are not very good. It's people who are tired of walking around and want to take a seat in the air conditioning.

I know that the crowds will still be pretty shitty, but at the very least, they won't be THAT dead. And with the recent news report that they're going to focus on the X Division, that's nothing but good news for them. For normal people who aren't completly turned off to wrestling, seeing guys flip and fly will go over half decently.
