ISportsFan Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 all of last summer. All of last summer Kane wasn't in the main event -- HHH, Kevin Nash, and Goldberg were for the Raw brand. He headlined Armageddon with HHH and Goldberg, and that got less buys than Backlash did. Jason
Open the Muggy Gate Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I'm starting to think that Eugene could be a draw. All my friends say they pay attention to RAW sometimes... but they keep their eyes glued to the TV when Eugene is on the screen. He's over in a big way. And Smackdown's new star is Mordecai. Now, I'm a Fertig mark. I will say that. But right now, he doesn't compare to Eugene in getting over or being a draw yet. That may change, but right now.... Eugene > Lots

Jason Kane's Segments...In the main event for 7 weeks ALWAYS went up...when Kane was taken out of that spot...ratings went back down. Kane was getting 4.2 ratings while Trips was bringing 3.4's.... Kane was a draw...at least until Shane killed it.
Lord of The Curry Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 People may have been interested in the angle (which makes sense, it was the first time in a while they were doing something with him) but Kane has never been a wrestling draw. People don't normally go to RAW's, buy PPV's or attend house shows for him.

Kane, right after the mask being taken off, was getting monster ratings. But, that was more toward the fall, and by the winter he was back down to drawing nothing (especially monetarily). It was probably Shane's fault, but it's true nonetheless. Jason
RavishingRickRudo Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 How much money did Kane make during all those weeks? None? Ok, so "draw" is more like "ratings draw" which is akin to "nobody actually wanted to pay to see him draw" which is not much of a draw at all.
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 Exactly HOW would Booker T be able to beat the Undertaker? From the way things seem, The Book Man will once again Job to Undertaker... He's a heel - he'd cheat. The dirt-to-the-eyes spot should have led directly to Book picking up a cheap win, thus enabling him to continue his "I'm better than anyone else on the show" gimmick by claiming he beat Taker. You do the rematch on SD, and Book manages again to pick up the win, probably by cheating or outside interference. He continues his "better than..." angle into a feud w/ Eddie, where Eddie finally beats him to put an end to it. Book gets a rub by beating Taker, making him a credible threat to Eddie, and Eddie gets a rub by taking out the guy whom Taker couldn't. And Smackdown's new star is Mordecai Oof.
