Supposedly the woman that came out at the end is Gorgeous George from WCW(the one with the masturbation video).

Well, that means Randy Savage is our future

So with Corey offically quitting that leaves you all stuck with.... ME! (Evil laughter) Sorry about your luck fella's. (That being said, I've been watching since just about the begining, so at least i kinda know what I'm talking about.)

As promised, I will no longer order TNA PPVs unless they are X Cup shows. Why? There's one reason why...

BECAUSE I FUCKING HATE JEFF JARRETT!

Seriously. The man is NOT a draw, and only gets the title because his father runs the company. His matches are the same bland tripe over and over again, his promo's are as boring as the first 20 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey (with the monkeys), and his fan reaction is equal to Glenn Gilberti. The thing is? GLENN GILBERTI IS A FUCKING CURTAIN-JERKER, AND JARRETT IS IN THE MAIN EVENT!

Fuck TNA. I hope they go under.

Whoa calm down Laz. Jarrett isn't exactly the best choice to forge ahead, but we knew he would be winning. Didn't Meltz say Jarrett was fine with Styles and Killings winning the title as long as he got it by the time the show kicked off?

May as well work out what to expect. What did you think of this show (if you've seen it yet)?

I don't mind it at all. Have it on a person with at least slight name recognition, build up Styles/Killings as genuine contenders for a new audience and THEN give them the belts.

If they needed someone with recognition, why not Raven, who is not forever linked to the dying days of WCW and jobbing to Chyna and beating women and saying "don't piss me off" and being involved in the decision that pushed Hogan out of WCW for good? Raven is a bigger name, folks, regardless of what you may think. He has larger mainstream appeal, too, considering HE'S NOT A FUCKING HICK.

Going in with them as champions would be far more damaging than Jarrett IMO.

Explain this. Seriously. I fail to see how Ron "The Truth" Killings, a black wrestler that has improved leaps and bounds since his days in the WWF with great charisma and mic skills, wouldn't attract an "urban" audience, or even the young white kids that love to pretend that they're "down."

And how would AJ Styles, a young, charismatic wrestler that has a history of awesome matches and a good look, be worse than Triple J? Exactly.

The only worse choice for the winner of the match would have been Harris, and that's only because he's more vanilla than Triple J. But, at the same time, he'd have been a better choice, because it would have been something new.

Ah no doubt man, Coreys a 1 eyed hater, good riddance.

One-eyed hater? The fuck...?

Yes. I'm quite open with my hatred for Jeff Jarrett. So? At least I have reasoning behind it (pushed simply due to family ties in TNA, same match every time, holds down better talent, never loses clean, etc.).

It doesn't make their incessant desire to push JJ a good idea. Hell, Verne Gagne, much as he wanted to, didn't give his useless son World Title reigns.

You've finally arrived, Corey. You're not a real poster until you have at least one person with an irrational vendetta against you.

That's my boy.

Uh, what was the purpose of passing the title around?

They should have let Truth or Aj run with it for 8 or so months.

I fucking hate it when titles are passed around, let alone YOUR MAIN FUCKING BELT.

I was actually tired of having to wait 3 months to even start to think they would change the title.

Plus...it made Truth's win kind of shocking.

At least they only passed it to previous champions instead of just crowning everyon in the upper midcard.

Because JJ wanted to shock the world by regaining the title while squashing two superior talents.

It is an insult to HHH to compare him to Jarrett.

Tonights show was pretty good live. I was amazed at the main event, yes the rules were a bit confusing but there were some pretty good spots. AJ got the hell knocked out of him. with the ladder hitting him, him getting pushed off the ladder and hittng the caged 'penalty box'. Hopefully none of them are seriously hurt. The crowd was hot again for Dusty I haven't heard it that loud since Sting faced Jeff Jarrett back in December. The ending was great when the hook fell off and Jeff didn't know what to do. Decent show on the eve before Impact.

There was a storm approaching when the show was finished and a bunch of wrestlers were getting ready to go on a charter jet to Orlado. I don't know if it was delayed or not but there should be no problem getting there. Impact should be pretty good

hello, kiddies. new to this board, but i was known at TNS. i tell ya, my computer gets a virus for a few weeks and when i get back online, TNS disappears (what happened?). so here i am. a lot of the old TNS posters are over at Revolution, but i really don't feel like dealing with the Jarrett/Russo homoerotic atmosphere that board has. and right now, i feel like giving my thoughts on tonight's show. i'll go thought it match by match. haven't posted in a while, mind you, so indulge me...

-the X Cup (which is its own division, really) match was good, but i can't help but feel that Jerry Lynn is wasted in a fued with the Canadians. hopefully one day he'll get his due, even though Jeff, aka GOD, has something against him (and whats there to hate about Jerry Lynn???). still, i wanted for the X Cup to involve storylines and characters, and i'm getting that, so its not a bad thing.

-Monte Brown is pretty good at what he does, but he doesn't seem to be doing anything angle-wise. my main beef here is the NYC vs. Kenney/Siaki. the NYC could be a good heel group, but they haven't given a good heel promo or even done anything remotely heelish. hitting people with coconuts and pouring Lucky Fxcking Charms on them does not a good heel make.

-Frankie and Red should've got more time. ten minutes wasn't enough for them to put out a good match, and this is the X Division for Christ's sake. its supposed to be a prestigious title, so give them more time! it could and should have been better. keeping the title on Frankie is good though. long title reigns are your friend, TNA.

-and then we have Abyss, utterly fxcking wasted in a fued with the most worthless man in pro wrestling today, Erik Watts, accompanied by the most worthless WOMAN in wrestling today, Goldilocks. oh yeah, and then there's D-Ray, who's pretty cool, i guess. he's no Shark Boy, though. booking Abyss as a monster doesn't involve making him a pawn in the Watts/Goldy fued, which shouldn't even be happening. Abyss should be destroying people in the title picture, or having a good brawl with guys like Monte Brown or Sandman.

-Kid Kash is freakin' sweet. its like you can forget that he has a sucky partner holding the tag titles with him. he's that damn good. Dusty was good as well for the nostalgia, and the fans eat him up. when he's used as a special attraction, Big Dust is awesome. he's for TNA what Flair is on RAW. good to see the tag titles not SWITCH AT THE DROP OF A HAT. hotshotting titles for no reason pisses me off, which leads us to.....

-the main event. first off, it was a lot like Raven/Jarrett. the match was incredible, but the ending blew HARD. i'm just as pissed at JJJ as any other mark, but i see some good to this, despite all the obvious bad. let's see, Harris should just go back to AMW, because i'm tired of seeing him pretend to be a world title contender. Styles and Killings should basically chase the title now, as JJJ has no use as the champ other than to PUT THEM OVER. its proven that having the babyfaces chase the heel is a bit more compelling, so maybe we can see the team of Killings/Styles challenge JJJ. of course, there's no gaurantee that's gonna happen. for all we know, JJJ may want to jerk himself off and fued with Roddy Piper for the next 4 months.

as for Raven... i'll be honest with ya, he needs that fxcking belt. he's been raving for WELL OVER A YEAR now about destiny and the NWA Title, and Jarrett's been screwing him over the whole time. we NEED to see Raven vs. Jarrett start back up again, and for Raven to finally win the title from JJJ. Raven had mountains of heat coming into TNA. now he's just another of Jeff's bitches. personally, i want to see Raven vs. Jarrett again. it was TNA's strongest fued ever, and that's the best foot to put forward for the new viewers. in truth, Raven's the best guy to hold that title. he can do everything Jarrett can do and much much more.

here's my feelings on Triple J as champion now. it was gonna happen, so i was never deluding myself with thinking Styles (or Truth) would get to keep it. i expected it, so i'm not that angry about it. however, i WILL be angry if Jeff decides to turn the company back into his own personal playground. i understand he wants to prove himself to be a big player, but how many companies and fellow wrestlers does he have to bury to do that? i once said that Jarrett would be more tolerable if he'd just change up his act. well, it seems he may be taking on a valet. if so, i'm happy about that. if not, and we're going to get the same old Jeff, then this marks the third reign of terror for TNA, which isn't a good thing. i'm holding out that in this reign we may see a different kind of JJJ (maybe one that actually has... y'know, CHARACTER), he won't bury his opponents, and he'll put someone over clean to lose the title (coughravencough).

that is all.

I'll admit the finish was pretty disappointing, but everyone knew Jarrett was getting the title back for Impact! anyway, so I don't see why everyone went into such a shock.

Otherwise it was an excellent main event, I'd agree **** and I love the gimmick. Besides the ending (I would have had Truth retain and I think it would have meant much more to have Jarrett be the only man not to become eligble which gives him a grudge to keep chasing the belt for, but that's neither here not there), but besides that I thought it was a very smartly booked match and would love to see them use it again.

Opener and Red/Kazarian were both good matches and the tag team title at least had good atmosphere.

Cheer up everybody, really. It's Jarrett's company, he's not the best choice for champ and he has an inflated self image of himself, but the company is at a pivotal point right now. The others will have more chances in the future, just look past Double J and support the rest of the guys who have worked hard to bring up the product, and WATCH IMPACT! THIS FRIDAY!!!!

For those of you who didn't order, don't be negated by the Jarrett hate, it was a good show and the main event was excellent, even if the ending wasn't the smartest choice (although we all saw it coming anyway).

And he was also jobbing to Jeff Hardy on Heat not much more than a year ago, and never really had the same exposure as Jarrett. They both have baggage.

There's no real point going into it, since it's not going to change your opinion of Jarrett and it'll just go around in circles. Suffice to say, I've tried to show TNA to casual fans for two years, and without name value at the top, it's very hard to get them interested. Go in with Styles or Killings as total unknowns (as they are to many casual fans), and they will go nowhere - and just look at Killings' first title reign as an example. Go in with a name, build them up as challengers to him, and then they can get somewhere.

Killings has gone from chants of "over-rated" to being one of the most over guys in the company. So yeah, it has worked quite well. Now's there a chance to do it all over again.

I have said it before and i'll probably say it many more times...

The reason for Jarrett being on top of the card is justified.

all this spouting of Jarrett isn't a proven draw.

Nobody on the roster is a proven draw, except maybe Dusty, but lets not go there. So why is the reasoning, or i am guessing the reasoning TNA use so hard to believe in that Jarrett, who is probably the most credible guy on the roster should be the number 1 guy, so hard to believe..?

Saying he holds down talent and he is pushed due to family ties is pure speculation and just plain ignorant. And shouldn't be spouted as fact, like it pretty much is around here.

Really though, having Raven or Jarrett as champ going into TV was probably the way to go. The two most credible guys on the roster.

Plus, for me personally, i think it is better that Raven hasn't had a run yet... they should build up his win (not that they haven't for a year and a half) and feud with the champion more.. to make it mean more special.

Nope, no real biases. I mark like a biznich for Daniels and Ki though. So basically there will be a lot of OH LOWKI IS GONNA KILL YOU's in their matches. But aside from that... well, I don't like crappy "brawlers" like sandman or the ECWlite trash that floats around. Raven is cool though.
