Nah, they just make him roll over in his grave.

Kinda like how MTV hasn't shown a video in ten years......

They still do, just at ungodly hours or having some stupid ass girl in the corner going "HI, CARSON!"

Hair metal isn't gay. A lot of it is pretty freakin' terrible, though.

Also, MTV didn't kill music. Pure evil like them will never win. True rock and true metal live on in the rest of the world and in the States, even if MTV wants to ignore it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to syndicate Queer Eye and Queer As Folk, though. Thing is, how does one market specifically to gays without becoming overly insulting?

I expect them to do a sitcom that is a blatant ripoff of All in the Family, but instead of Lionel being simply black, he's a walking gay stereotype as well, and does it just for kicks to get the homophobe neighbor freaked out.

VH1's a little better, but most of their programming is a bunch of list of X types of videos/songs/moments.

I Love the 90's?! That's your big upcoming TV event right now?!

Between all of the womens channels like Oxygen, WE, Lifetime, Hallmark, Fashion Network, I think all of the gay material is covered.

Let's look at the pros and cons of this idea, shall we?

PRO

It pisses off wack-jobs who regularly use the words "gay agenda."

CON

...everything else.

Seriously, why create an entire network devoted to sexual preference? Isn't that just pandering?

actually...save for Insomiac Music Theatre...they don't show ANY music and even the head of VH1 said they were phasing music out and becoming a Pop Culture based network ala E!.

Well...I love 80's (part one and two) and 70's were big hits...and I still think I love the 80's:Return of the 80's should go before I love the 90's.

I love "The best week...ever" and they should do that theme for every year since like 1918 and show what the world was like for each year.

kinda like SPIKETV does with the "Straight Male" market by airing Wrestling, Sports and Car themed shows?

So is this network going to pull an Ellen and blame it's failure on homophobes?

Just Jericho rambling about Pop Culture and Heavy Metal glam rock era.

That sounds really good. Let Jericho have a weekly show where he interviews old rock/metal glam guys and discuss current pop culture.

Jericho and Sebastian Bach together would be pretty entertaining.

Bach had his own midnight tv show once on VH1 where he met with various 80's glam stars like Nikii Sixx or Vince Neil and they just hung out at random places like a bar or a racetrack or shit like that.

VH1 used to have "The Rock Show" where they'd actually show a bunch of heavy metal videos, old and new.

I always kinda thought Edge (WWE) was a Bach wannabe.

I thought there already was a gay network, Bravo. Oh, my bad. Seriously, I have no problems with this. I won't watch, but more power to ya for putting this "Gay" Network. I just hope there is some thought put into this, and that this Gay network can show not just the stereotypes of homosexuals. But already I hear the protests from the religious right beginning to be shout out how this will convert all the straight kids to gay.

MTV killed Johny Cash. He deserved the respect of having Best video. It was the best video I've seen in a long time. He lost to Missy Elliot, for goodness sake! Missy Elliot! :( :bonk: :firing:

Do you HONESTLY think MTVs core audience knows who Cash is?

They still ask why all those old people butchered those great Puff Daddy and Eminem songs.

MTV2 - not quite braindead

Nickelodeon - kids

BET (Black Entertainment Television)- African-Americans

Nick at Nite - people who like somewhat classic tv

TV Land - old folks

NOGGIN - Preschoolers..??

THE N (NOGGIN at night) - teens

VH1 - "The music network for 25- to 44-year-olds"

Spike TV - men

CMT - rednecks

Comedy Central - uh..people with a sense of humor

Showtime/The Movie Channel/Flix - movie fans

Sundance Channel - "For the independent film lover"

LOGO - Gay/Lesbian crowd..

Concerned Women for America -- which has boycotted Disney for its pro-gay policies -- said it would publicize LOGO advertisers. "They should not promote homosexuality," said Robert Knight, a leader of the right-leaning group.

I'm so confused...

Apparently so is he, which is quite ironic considering the subject

Anyway, doesn't Bravo already serve this niche? And I'm serious too...

Since when was Bravo a "gay" network? Being the home of Queer Eye for The Straight Man makes it a "gay" network? That's just absurd.
