JustJoe2k5 Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Can any of you guys give me some Jack Evans matches to check out? Everything I've seen from him has been sloppy and crap.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 have you seen the Scramble Cage?
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 It's been confirmed that Evans is replacing Teddy.
Guest bort Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Not really a fan of Jacks work but in a tourny like this he could do well as long as he trys to put togther a match instead of just doing a few sick flips and taking a deadly bump heres my picks 1st round homicide Vs Jack Evans(L) Vs trent acid jimmy rave(L) Vs b-boy Vs roderik strong bobby quance Vs alex shelly Vs ruckus(L) petey williams Vs sonjay dutt vs nate webb(L) 2nd round Cide over Acid Strong over B boy Shelly over Quance Sonjay over Petey 3rd round Strong over Cide Shelly over Sonjay (im thinking due to the guy that stole his belt) Finals Shelly over Strong
JustJoe2k5 Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 have you seen the Scramble Cage? Yeah and he was very good in that, but in all of the regular matches I've seen he is very sloppy and can't even perform basic wrestling holds.
Guest Soylent Green Is People Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Evans is a pretty good replacement for Teddy, with his almost guarenteed loss in the first round i'd expect him to pull out some of his usual fun stuff in the three-way and losers four-way.
Michrome Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Yeah and he was very good in that, but in all of the regular matches I've seen he is very sloppy and can't even perform basic wrestling holds. He's very good in the 8-man tag on ROH 5/22. His match with American Dragon on 6/24 got rave reviews too, but thats not out yet, and Dragon is god.
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 anyway if acid turns back to being heel he coude get a good match out of evans. rudo base acid rules, face acid sucks. acid as a heel always got the best matches out of the 1 dimensional flipy workers.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Results so far from CZWFans Board: Trent Acid no-showed; Justice Pain returned to collect the $5000 bounty on Acid. Homicide & Jack Evans advance over fill-in Chris Cash.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Roderick Strong and B-Boy advance over Jimmy Rave
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Alex Shelley & Bobby Quance advance over Ruckus. Attendance is said to be 650.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt advance over "Spyder" Nate Webb
LucharesuFan619 Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 JUSTICE PAIN~! At least Zandig did the right thing for once. Go Petey...or Sonjay...or Shelley!
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Chris Hero d. Hotsuck...I mean, Hotstuff Hernandez, in the first round of the Xtreme Strong Style Tournament.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 In the upset of the night, Bobby Quance d. Alex Shelley.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Thanks for the updates PFL, sounds like a good show so far...
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Dan Maff d. Nick Gage in the first of the second round XSS Tournament matches.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Roderick Strong beat Homicide to advance to the finals. Somewhere in between the last two matches, people started throwing chairs around and such. I have no clue why.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Sonjay Dutt d. Bobby Quance. So, it's Dutt/Strong in the finals.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Jimmy Rave d. Nate Webb, Ruckus, and Chris Cash. This means that Rave can now ask for a shot at any title he wants and get it.
Guest Soylent Green Is People Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Looks like my prediction for the finals was right on the money.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Sonjay Dutt d. Roderick Strong to become Best of the Best Champion for 2004, Bobby Quance was crowned MVP. Then, M-Dogg20 returned as the thief of Sonjay's Jr. Heavyweight Title.
ulfistgut Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Somewhere in between the last two matches, people started throwing chairs around and such. I have no clue why. Apparently Maff said he wanted to do the match 'CZW style' and got the fans to throw chairs into the ring.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Um...didn't Maff already advance to the second round by beating Homicide a few months ago?
ulfistgut Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Um...didn't Maff already advance to the second round by beating Homicide a few months ago? He won a 2nd round match vs. Nick Gage to enter the third round. The order of the tourney is a little screwey due to people pulling out and an inability to put together a tournament match last month (due to running at the same time as several other feds). B-Boy was supposed to face Mafia but was swapped with Gage who was supposed to face Joker (who went to Iraq). B-Boy, Whitmer and Chris Hero are now in the 2nd round, I'm guessing they'll do a 7th 1st round match to get the final 2nd round guy Ah, the perils of an 11 month tournament.
Placebo Effect Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 So Pain and M-Dogg are back? Wow. I'm now inspired to go to TOD3 and the next Arena show for whatever reason.
Guest Sturgis Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Would somebody like to explain why Pain and M-Dogg are back? Not that I'm upset. The World Title picture has been dead since Pain left. Well looks like I'm gonna have some fun at TOD3
