MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 The Orioles are a couple outs away from going 0 for the week which has been pretty ugly. I think I'd just to have one of those neuralizer things from MIB and forget this week ever happened. As I say this, they have something going with 2 on, but 2 out in the 6th..
razazteca Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 But the College World Series is more important~ I wonder how many times Rob Dibble will say Cadalliac on the next Baseball Tonight?
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 The Yankees traded Gabe White back to Cinci. That's hilarious.
the pinjockey Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 BTW, the Royals should hit Thome, or somebody. They hit Santiago, Stinnett and nearly hit Sweeney. And Thome hit two off of Reyes. The Royals pitchers are freaking wusses IIRC, Grienke got at least one last night and I recall a few other instances of Phillies having to lean back out of the way. On another note, Thome is GAWD! We were thisclose to going insane if that third shot had stayed fair. Also, apparently Byrd has been sent back to the minors.
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Ken Griffey Jr. just hit home run #500. EDIT: didn't see this was already posted on page 8. Funnily enough I haven't seen it on TV yet.
Fuzzy Dunlop Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Wow, the Cubs are in an AMAZING stretch right now, and we take everything to St. Louis this week with a chance to claim our spot atop the division.
KingPK Posted June 20, 2004 Author Report Posted June 20, 2004 (edited) Why the hell is Embree in again? With guys on base? AGAINST BARRY BONDS?! AWFUL call at third. He was out by two steps. And Francona is tossed. Edited June 20, 2004 by Kingpk
DerangedHermit Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Mets win 6-1 and sweep the Tigers on a Hidalgo 2-run HR, Valent 2-run double and a Piazza HR off the apple. They're at .500 (2.5 back) and they have a brutal stretch to the All-Star Break where they face the Reds at home, Yankees in the Bronx, the Reds in Cincy, the Yanks at home, the Phillies in Philly and the Marlins in Miami. But I'm pumped because Reyes is back, they've got Hidalgo and it's inevitable that David Wright will come up.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 The Yankees traded Gabe White back to Cinci. That's hilarious. Old News.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 But I'm pumped because Reyes is back, This just in. Reyes hurt himself coughing.
DerangedHermit Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 But I'm pumped because Reyes is back, This just in. Reyes hurt himself coughing. This just in, so did Kevin Brown.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Brown: Has been able to go full seasons without getting his ass hurt. Reyes: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Kind of crappy first six innings leads us to the beginning of the end next inning. At least the Sox lost.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 How else are they going to mount that dramatic comeback vs. Gagne?
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 How else are they going to mount that dramatic comeback vs. Gagne? I'm just not feelin' them tonight. I mean, I guess they can, but if they're getting nothing off Lima... I'd be much more comfortable if Gagne had a one run lead when he came in. I have alot more faith in them beating Gagne that way.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 I had to say that, right? 4-3 right now.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 The Yankees traded Gabe White back to Cinci. That's hilarious. Old News. Only happened Friday or yesterday. Still, its like they walked up to Cinci with the reciept and went "Ya...um...its broken. We'd like to return it please"
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 5-3. Gagne's streak is gonna end with like a Pirates pitcher or something equally stupid.

Still, its like they walked up to Cinci with the reciept and went "Ya...um...its broken. We'd like to return it please" We also got one of the guys we traded for Boone back in this deal.
KingPK Posted June 21, 2004 Author Report Posted June 21, 2004 Whoo, A-Rod better check for a hole in his bat after that pitch.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 (edited) FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK. Got rid of 68% of the screen stretching anger Edited June 21, 2004 by Kingpk
Lightning Flik Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 That split change is fucking amazing. I mean, it looks like a splitter, but as the announcers say, Gagne calls it a change up. Damn, that's just a beauty pitch. And Anglesault is going to lose it.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 One issue I have there is "strike two." Eric fucking Gagne doesn't need the ump's help to strike someone out.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Giambi, Sheffield, Posada, Matsui, Williams in the ninth. If they can't do this for me, really, I have no idea what worth the theam has.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 It was a close pitch. You have to swing at the close ones. Ump wasn't helping him by any means.

If they can't do this for me, really, I have no idea what worth the theam has. Yeah, if you can't score two runs in an inning off the best f'n reliever in the National League, what good are you?
KingPK Posted June 21, 2004 Author Report Posted June 21, 2004 Gagne needs an easy to remember nickname, like Eckersley did. I don't think "The Gag" would fit him that well, though.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Close to what? Ump wasn't helping him by any means. Was it a strike?
