----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Needless to say, this is a must-buy for me. I already have the first Clerks DVD, but I don't have a problem with double-dipping in this case. In my opinion, the new transfer alone makes the DVD worth buying. September 7th can't come fast enough.

Patience and blind faith finally pay off... no need to double-dip for me since I heard the rumours about this DVD set so long ago that I opted not to buy the current disc. Damn, that's a hefty list of features. And the animated "lost scene" is supposedly what happens when Randall and Dante go to the funeral. Huzzah!!!

That's quite a metric assload of content.  However, the price probably will be kinda steep..

The MSRP is $34.99, but it should be less than that on release day. As of right now, both Circuit City and Best Buy have a pre-order price of $29.99, which isn't too bad.

$30 for a three-disc set loaded with extras and a new transfer sounds reasonable to me.

It's reasons like this i don't buy DVDs.

I'm gonna hold out until the release the 15th Anniversary Edition with even MORE content.

Goody for me I held out on buying the current edition, but I'm still gonna have to sleep on it. If I find it around $24-$25 then I'd get it. The "flying car" skit I already dowloaded from Smith's website, but a new transfer should be sweet.

Meh, the current edition has enough for my liking. I'll probably get this one, but I've had the current edition for over two years and watched it several times, so it's not like I didn't get my money's worth out of it. Double-dipping sucks, but I'd rather do it if it means being able to watch a movie I really enjoy anytime I want instead of waiting around like a dunce for several years for a better edition to come out.

Anyone know if there is supposed to be a Clerks live action pilot thats supposed to be on the set? I don't see it anywhere in the specs.

It got scrapped due to legal reasons.

And "The Flying Car" is pretty cool. I tuned into Leno the night it aired for no real reason.

When Clerks came out it was like $40 at Best Buy, and Mallrats was damn near $30.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking

Even when I stopped being such a hardcore Smith fan, I still waited for this DVD. And now it's here. Well, almost. Tremendous.

Askewniverse, I used to visit ViewAskew and NewsAskew.com sometimes ten times daily, but yes, I stopped being such a hardcore fan. I forgot about the boards too.

Can anyone please educate me on the term 'double dipping' used here?

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure, thanks.

I'm not into double dipping myself either, I have enough trouble shelling out $20+ for a DVD alone let alone two of the same movie.

Agreed totally. Is it just me or is anyone else sick and tired of studios loading DVDs with content instead of making the movie actually INTERESTING?! Anyways, that's another topic for another day.

Seeing as how I don't have Clerks yet, I'll probably opt to buy this after it comes out.
