Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 LOL Swift and Telfair back to back. This draft is just begging for the old TNT crew. John Thompson: Why are all these teams going overboard on the high school kids? Barkley: Because the're stupid, Coach. The're stupid.
razazteca Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Or they could of gone with the Around the Horn NOOOOOOOOO The Commish could mute Stephen A Smith!
Guest Choken One Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Telfair doesn't stand a chance in Portland...Just LOOK at him. He has 3 DUI's and 2 arrests for Domestic Abuse and 3 child support lawsuits written all over him by 2nd season.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Choken One is destroying this thread. Is there a TSM draft chat going on in AIM? If not somebody set one up
The Czech Republic Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Or they could of gone with the Around the Horn NOOOOOOOOO The Commish could mute Stephen A Smith! "NO, NO, NO, STERN, YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE HAVE GOT IT ALL WRONG! Just look at this blackboard!" "That's a whiteboard." "Shut up!"
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Ainge, if you don't take Al Jefferson right now I will cut your head off and shit down your throat.
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Teams are going all over the place with these picks now. When discussing Telfair, who did they say was not invited to be there by the NBA, and why was that?
MrRant Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 We already have Calvin Booth and Jerome James... guess now we truly have a Oreo cookie of stiffs.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Don't remind us of Barkley at the draft. When it comes to any draft from the era of high schoolers, he's a conversation about "the game of a human chess" away from being Larry Nabisco.
Brett Favre Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Ainge just traded the pick for "Deez Nuts".

Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Either Jefferson or Jameer Nelson. Nobody else is acceptable
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Telfair wasn't invited because he should of gone around 25. Of course so is Jameer Nelson and he's there. Maybe they got mixed up in the mail.

I know what his real name is, foo Jericho called him Nabisco a few times.
KingPK Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Geez, thanks for reminding me what happened the LAST time Boston had 3 1sts, ESPN. It's Al Jefferson. Ainge is safe, I guess.
Guest Choken One Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Shit...I wanted to see Frigid go insane.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Ainge fears me. He can try and bite my fingers all he wants but at the same time my fist would be headed down his throat to rip out whichever squishy innerds I got to first. Now Ainge needs to trade the other 2 picks and move up to grab Jameer Nelson because Marcus Banks sucks.
razazteca Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Too much graphics going on now. We dont need to see baseball scores now.
KingPK Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 (edited) Think Vitale is angry? I agree with him that HS kids should stay the hell away from the NBA, but we've gone through that debate a few times already. I just thought of something: if he does one this year, Bill Simmons' draft diary is going to be pretty neutered this year because ESPN is covering it, so he can't rip on guys like Stephen A. Smith and Vitale. Edited June 25, 2004 by Kingpk
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Vitale is angry because he doesn't get to watch them for free when they enter the draft directly out of HS Edit: Do the Hawks go with the best talent there in Jameer Nelson although they have Jason Terry, or do they reach for a need?
Brett Favre Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Vitale seems to forget that two of the top 3 players in the NBA came out of H.S. Well, Kobe/Garnett, in IMO.
therealworldschampion Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 God this is almost as bad as Vitale doing a Duke game.
Rob E Dangerously Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 I think the NBA should have a farm system, at least one level, for each team
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 One of the few things I like about high school players is that they will eventually destroy college basketball.

razazteca Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 That was mean what they did to Nelson. Did they have to play that Cheap Trick song and show Jameer losing his smile?
