I'm pretty sure that guy featured on the "I'm a gamer" episode was this dude that is only known as "Fatal1ty" or something like that. And if I'm not mistaken, SportsCenter did a big feature on him a couple weeks ago.

Does anyone remember True life: Im a gamer?  One of those guys was the biggest dork ive ever seen.  I think it was the Unreal Tournament champ or something.  He won like 200k that year and a free car and he rented out his parents basement to live in.  I could think of about 200,000 better places to live than that.

Think about it....you're still 18-20 years old and you're earning 200K a year. Your parents are more than happy to give you a cheap place to live. Your money stacks up over the course of say....5 or so years. Eventually, you've earned nearly a million and can now buy a decent place, and have some money left over to live on for years until you have to go get a real job.

 

I'd say that he was smart.

While he shouldn't buy himself a mansion and piss away all his money, it'd be very easy for him to get a nice 1 bedroom apartment for less than a grand a month. Once you add in bills and whatnot, he's only spending say $15,000 a year on room and board.

 

Having $185,000 in your bank account and living independantly > having $200,000 in your bank account and living in your parents basement.

You guys remember the one with the Dad who thinks he was a rapper?  I mean he was like 1/2 rapper & 1/2 hippie.  It was just horrible.  If I was that guy's son, I would truely be embarrased.

And he had the song called "You're a nigger" or something equally offensive, correct?

The greatest part of that episode is when the kid said "bitch", and the father slapped the shit out of him.

I vaguely remember that. Didn't they have to stop the cameras so that the kid could be disciplined?

my all time fav true life is "im a Gamer" just for those scenes of the guys who share the apartment

 

when that dude goes home on his break to play games and is like an hour late back to work? priceless

The funniest is that they actually showed footage of one of the films, with one guy lying on top of each other.

I think you guys might be confusing "I'm a Pornstar" with VH1's "Totally Gay!"

 

Because in "Totally Gay", when they show the movie footage, the exact quote is "Let's rock 'n roll. Ass sex is the bomb." I'll never forget those words, ever. They were that absurd.

 

"I'm a Pornstar" was only good on the first spin. The first one was about 2 hours long, detailing so many porn personalities. Then, MTV edited it to a half hour and cut out a helluva lot of relevant shit.
