Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2004 I would only enjoy a Rockers reunion if they did it right. I mean with the old school outfits and everything. WHY is attire so important to wrestling fans? I remember reading dozens of posts of ticked off fans after SummerSlam 2002 because Shawn Michaels wasn't wearing his broken heart tights. And then angry fans because Undertaker didn't wear purple gloves or a purple tie at WrestleMania XX. So the most important thing about a wrestler's comeback-- is his attire? Why does this matter so much? Is it because you remember the wrestler through his attire, not his wrestling? Is it because you can remember your favourite moments through picturing the attire (Shawn wearing those ugly white heart pants at WMXII)? How can a wrestler's popularity be determined through his fashion sense? Does anybody have an answer? I will say one thing, I hope Shawn never again wears those damn completely orange boots that he wore at WM 11 in his match against Kevin Nash, god those were an eyesore! great match but the boots had to go! We know Shawn and Marty hated each other during their tag team run in the WWF, maybe perhaps during their AWA days... So here is the guy you despise, who has went Beyond you as a wrestler and popularity. where as you can't get so much work even in a rival company or indis while your former Partner is skyrocketed to every title in the major promotion. And then suddenly your in the gutter facing up to the Heaven wrestling Federation ready to take your place because this life has been too screwed up for you, then suddenly your most despised rival lends out a hand and picks you up and brushes you off.. Now you are cleaning up, all because of the guy that probably was the leading factor to you screwing yourself up in the first place... isn't that ironic.... Don't you think? Think of the best or rather worst case scenero. (sp) Shawn convinces Marty and Vince the best way to save Jenetty is to keep him active, so he gets him hired with the WWE as a Rockers return and Jenetty will take on Kane in revenge for him Putting Shawn on the shelf in storyline. But he maybe the leading excuse.. there are many many many former teams where one was the star that went on to single success and the other fell by the wayside. Jannetty was awesome in his day, but I do agree with the attire. They need their Rocker attire, or something. As for people not knowing him?
