Guest I Got Banned for Sucking

Proof that talent counts for nothing this company

Well it's hard to be impressive when the WWF limits you to 5-6 moves and expects you to be able to pull off good matches.

Others have been similarly limited and still shone, as our current brand champions did back during the days of the 5-10 minute Raw/Smackdown main events and 3-5 minute undercard matches. Not fair to make such a drastic comparison, but if they were as worthy of praise as people make them out to be, they'd show it with what they were given. And that some of these guys have never had a chance to really talk in the months and months some have been employed shows that they must not be able to do it effectively. So you've got someone who can't impress in a WWE-timed match, and they can't talk either. Tell me again why WWE should push these people and rely on them to sell tickets and shows as something besides a cruiserweight undercard distraction.

Comparing Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit to Paul London is silly though. London's only been around for a few years where Guerrero and Benoit had been in NJPW and WCW before every stepping foot in the WWF.

London lacks charisma, is too pale and skinny looking to get a solid push in WWE. Sure, he's talented but WWE is SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT.

Dean Malenko.

Eh, I've never seen anything to convince me otherwise. None of these indy darlings that come to WWE and people complain about impress me.

Well I'll just assume you've not seen them outside WWE :)

Another 'London should be pushed thread'. Joy.

How many times do I have to say 'This isn't ROH' in one week?

I'm not saying he should be but denying that the WWF is misusing him, along with 3/4 of the roster, is foolish.

London actually showed a decent amount of charisma in RoH. I'd have him do some kind of hero worship type angle with Rey, have them win tag matches together, and then London turns heel.

But London must have known he'd be underused when he signed the contract, so I don't have much sympathy for him really, nor do I think he'd ask for any.

Malenko wasn't pale OR skinny. He had more charisma than London did too. Even then all Malenko got from WWE was a lower-midcard push.

I still don't know what Paul London looks like. I don't think I've ever actually seen him as Paul London. Anyways, I really don't care about Paul London whatsoever. If he got that hero worship gimmick someone mentioned I'd be interested. Mostly because it'd have Rey involved.

Not knowing what he looks like emplys that you've never seen him wrestle, which would mean it'd be pointless for you to contribute a "Well I really don't care" to this thread.

Keep up the good work!

Dean Malenko is most known for a storyline with Lita and the Hardy Boys. FEEL THE PUSH~ as Malenko is then the vague secret agent-type character.

The thing is, the indy wrestlers that have impressed me enough to want to see on WWE TV on a regular basis were either people who declined WWE contracts (Styles, Daniels too I think), haven't been offered one yet (as far as I know, and I could be wrong, American Dragon hasn't gotten an offer or signed yet), or WWE considered too rough (Low-Ki). Spanky did also, but he came and went and was misused. However, you can only make someone his size as serious a competitior as a Rey Mysterio, one that can certainly be in a TV main event but never work as the selling point of a PPV.

Yet, regardless London can outwork about 95% of the WWE's roster........and no I'm not an Indy fanboy.

Not fair to make such a drastic comparison, but if they were as worthy of praise as people make them out to be, they'd show it with what they were given

He had 1 very good match and 1 solid match w/ Knoble on Velocity. He had good matches tagging w/ Spanky, a teaming which garnered some good face pops. All his other matches involved him getting squashed.

So you've got someone who can't impress in a WWE-timed match, and they can't talk either

Can't speak to his mic skills, but (as I said above) his non-squash matches have been pretty enjoyable/good.

Tell me again why WWE should push these people and rely on them to sell tickets and shows as something besides a cruiserweight undercard distraction.

They shouldn't be relied on to sell tickets & shows - that's not their job. It's the job of the guys on top to do that. They can, however, be used to help the midcard, as opposed to being fed to Hossy-Come-Lately who the fans won't care about. People aren't calling for London (or any other cruisers) to be ME'ers, but there's no reason they can't be used effectvely in the mid-to-lower card.

Anyways, if you wanted to make a true argument about talent meaning nothing just look at the firing of Sean O'Haire that was followed by that botch machine Tyson Tomko being called up to Raw.

Ah, Spiff is the rational indy darling cruiserweight fan. Unlike him, with how much people will complain about Paul London alone never being given a chance would lead to believe these people want him to be at the top or near it.

Yeah London is pretty good and he has had some wtachable short matches. He had one particular match with Knoble that was good and it even had a commercial break in between. I think he needs to be on tv- he'd have some entertaining matches.

Is Kidman healed up yet? or is he in the Dark show dog house... you'd think Torrie would have some pull to get her man up on the main roster..

Kidman and London should be booked if nothing else as a decent enough tag team.

Kidman is healed up, but his skills have degenerated to the point where the one thing he had to get crowd response, the Shooting Star, seems impossible for him to pull off.

So the worst's most boring cruiser, the guy with absolute zero charisma, now can't wrestle anything worth watching. So he's a) small b) sucks in the ring c) sucks on the mic, and d) is injury prone.

However, even when he was any good, WWE still pushed him over the most talented, more charistmatic Noble, who has been more over than Kidman ever was in WWE and has a more marketable character.

Kidman has been given plenty of shots in WWE...and he blew all of them.

London's never been given a real chance by WWE, and is far better than Kidman ever was when he was healthy--big difference.

However, I'll readily admit London is at a big disadvantage since he's small, apparently doesn't cut good promos, and has questionable charisma.

London is an absolute tremendous wrestler.

Too bad he's screwed.

But hey, he's the one that signed the contract.

So I've got no pity for him.

And you're absolutely right. If London thought he was going to be used well, he's a moron.
