Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 A poster was released recently that was completely different to that, so this one could be a fake. But that one is a nice satire, because if it wasn't for that, those random images would look awful.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I can't see that as the eventual DVD cover.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 That might suffice as a promotional poster, but certainly not on a DVD cover - the original poster had something strange about it, but would be much more fitting on a DVD box.

Didn't stop them from the incredibly stupid Sable cover, even though SHE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SHOW.
Guest AdamF Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I doubt it's real because anyone who knows anything about graphic design would know that it's a big no-no to have an image facing off the page like the last picture.
Jobber of the Week Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I expect an HHH cover on the DVD. With a slogan like "Let the games begin" it just makes sense.
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 That's a weird poster, and I don't think it will be the real one anyway.
Guest Choken One Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 i just hope they change the fucking logo...Im sick of the double s... Changing the colors doesn't count...
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 i just hope they change the fucking logo...Im sick of the double s... Changing the colors doesn't count... They should just stick to the old school graphics... OK that's what I want, not what anyone else does.

UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Decent poster. I'd like the poster to feature a big splash of the main event wrestlers facing off with each other face-to-face, heels vs. faces. BTW, what's with the "Four/Three/Two Days Until Banning" guy changing the name everyday? Maybe I missed it.
Scroby Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Lets not bring that into this folder k? Anyways are all those Smackdown matches on that poster?
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 BTW, what's with the "Four/Three/Two Days Until Banning" guy changing the name everyday? Maybe I missed it. I'd like someone's face up the front, with images in the background, ala SummerSlam 2000. Very well-done poster there, but if it were to feature someone up the front instead of everyone getting their share, they're going to need to choose wisely. In other words, not Triple H.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 That was a tremendous poster/DVD cover.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Didn't stop them from the incredibly stupid Sable cover, even though SHE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SHOW. She accompanied A-Train to the ring.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 The SummerSlam 1990 and Shawn/Vader posters are great.

Aero Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I like the poster, as it's much better than the usuals. But wait, Big Show's on the poster... does that mean he's NOT fired or DIDN'T quit for losing to Eddie and injuring Kurt?? Seriously though, here's the best poster of all time, at least IMO...

Ehh..I'm 90% sure the first Summerslam poster is a boxart, or in other words fake.
Guest Loss Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Every time they do a really good job of promoting a match and it gets a decent QH (HHH v Kane last year, Benoit v HBK, HHH v Eugene), they all end with HHH destroying someone, which you'd think someone might notice may be the reason those ratings never sustain. I'd like to see a match hyped like that with the entire locker room uniting to beat up Evolution or something. It may give them hope to watch the next week.

Funny thing is on the back of the box it has the match card and WWF or Colosieum just put a sticker over Beefcake's name saying "Ultimate Warrior" for the IC title which makes me think this change was last minute or they wanted Beefcake's injury to look real. The SS 90' poster was changed from Tugboat to Bossman for the box art. Why was SS 92' "The Summerslam you thought you'd never see"?
