Paul Bearer Comments On His Death

Recommended Posts

Guest netslob
Do you think Kane will be upset that the Undertaker killed his father?

well, Kane was born in Spain, so i imagine he'll eventually confront Undertaker:

"Hello. My name is Kane-igo Montoya...you kilt my father...prepare to die." :D

I want to know if Smackdown is going to air a fake In Memoriam video/screen before the show...

I bet the update is a memorial video of Paul Bearer.

Then, eventually, Taker will start to have hauntings of his doing from Bearer. More paranormal events will occur, and he will re-think the fact he killed off Bearer.

Then, as the WWE LOVES to do, TO COMPLETELY KILL THE ANGLE: Bearer returns with Al Wilson, back from the dead. Their tag team name? DEADMEN WALKING...

A great angle for Summerslam.... :headbang:

ok I went over to WWE.com, and there's no update, just that "The PPV was a shocking end for Viewers and Paul Bearer"

Gary Davis (WWE Vice President, Corporate Communications) sent the following to 1Wrestling:

"Last night's "Concrete Crypt Match" was similar in concept to the "Buried Alive" matches of the past. No one was murdered. After the The Great American Bash Pay-Per-View went off the air, the crowd at The Scope in Norfolk saw Paul Bearer come up for air and then placed on a stretcher to receive "medical attention." There will be an update on Paul Bearer on this Thursday's WWE SmackDown! Stay tuned."

I jokingly suggested to some people on IRC they do this angle, and there it is.

For a second there I was worried Taker wasn't going to get arrested.

But since Paul is okay, there is nothing to worry about.

They'd still have at least an attempted murder charge on their hands.

Have they even tried to explain why the Dudleys and Heyman weren't arrested for the kidnapping and ransom?

Yeah, that wasn't attempted murder or anything bad like that.

Edit: I got beaten. Do'h.

I think we should all just stop asking questions about the WWE and realise that the WWE is in fact set in a fictional nth dimension where attempted murder, kidnapping, extortion, necrophilia, assault, theft and so forth are all common practice amongst the aliens which inhabit this nth dimension.

I think they were better off just leaving it be. I think more people would've just accepted the typical WWF stupidity and moved on with not caring about Smackdown. I didn't care but I have to say I'm totally insulted by this. Actually sending a message to a website and then treating your fans like their morons. Come on, seriously they did more damage with that move.

well, we all know wrestling is exempt from the law...there's been too many attempted murders in the past to even list...i mean Triple H and Rikishi still haven't gotten charged with attempted motor vehicular homicide on Steve Austin and that was 5 years ago almost...and how about when Austin dropped Triple H from a forklift while he was still in his car? the list goes on and on...

I think the worst thing about that dimension is that young, attractive women are mysteriously turned on by 52 year old "genetic jackhammers."

Even I'd get gay with him. Once I've got Vince's ear though...:)

yeah they can have UT and Heyman standing in front of a mirror, and out of nowhere, Paul Bearer appears in it, and only UT and the audience can see him

Heyman: "What? What do you see, what's worng?"

Have they even tried to explain why the Dudleys and Heyman weren't arrested for the kidnapping and ransom?

what IS attempted murder, anyway? do they give Nobel prizes for attempted chemistry? :D

Austin on T.V. said he "Wouldn't press charges", but was going to beat the shit out of whoever did it.

So either Paul's dead, and WWE's policy is a load of crap as usual....

Or WWE wants you to believe that you can have a ton of wet cement dropped on you without suffering any problems.

Why didn't the FBI do a tamer version of this?

Also, see the amended bio

On Sunday, June 27, 2004, during THE WWE GREAT AMERICN BASH - PPV, at The Scope Coliseum, in Norfolk, Virginia. The Undertaker himself, attempted to destroy The WWE Paul Bearer character. Bearer's body was encased in a glass crypt, filled with concrete. It was said that Paul Bearer, was the conscience of The Undertaker, his only weakness. In the fact that his feelings for him demonstrated what remained of "The Phenom's" mortality. WWE explains that the Paul Bearer character suffered severe internal injuries from the weight of the concrete, including damage to his lungs and trachea due to inhalation of the toxic material. No prognosis has been given by World Wrestling Entertainment, with the exception that it is unlikely that he will ever appear again.

Don't WWE have a parent-policy that explicitly states they will never do storylines that portray or incinuate murder or rape?

*applauds*

UYI

Apparantly not.

It's just murder, not attempted murder. Attempted murder's all fine and dandy. They issued something a few days back saying that after the show Paul Bearer came up for air (slow drying concrete obviously) and is alive, so therefore there's no need for parents to make complaints.

Gotta love that logic.

Well, isn't smashing someone over the head five or six times with a steel chair able to construed by some as attempted murder?

If anyone other than a "trained wrestler" is hit with a chair, like a referee for example, they have to sell a chairshot like they've been murdered.

Otherwise a wrestler can take repeatedly blows to the head with blunt objects and only have a scratch.

Yay!

I knew this, though, because Ivory and the other guy said so on WWE Experience.

That was the part that got me. He has a 2 year contract so you know they be doing something with Paul Bearer. And since Morideci (sp?) is getting sent back to OVW I guess they're going to stick Paul with Kane again.

They should have stated he ate the concrete as if it were oatmeal to escape.

I mean really, if they're going to pull this crap just say he's encased in it or something. The Paul Bearer gimmik is suppose to be pretty undead too from what I recall so they could just say he's encased in the concrete like the Han Solo in the Cryo shit.
