Mecha Mummy Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I just got an e-mail from the MLW mailing list (which I was on due to being the indy wrestling reporter for Voice of Wrestling for all of two weeks) which insinuates that MLW looking for another comeback. Their site indicates the same thing. So, how many shows will they last this time?
PsychoDriver Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I don't get it, Why bring back MLW? The MLW brand name isn't exactly renowned for it's greatness or anything. Be better off just starting a new fed.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 They tried that and got run out of Boston.
1234-5678 Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 On the plus side, the name "Major League Wrestling" was a good idea.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 They'll fold again before the first show even starts.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 Hey Gosunkugi, why don't you post the newsletter they sent you so we can read it? Otherwise, I won't believe their return until it actually happens.........
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 29, 2004 Report Posted June 29, 2004 I got it too...MLW VERSION 4.0? thuganomics Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I'm just curious to find out who the hell is booking it? Court Bauer supposedly has nothing to do with it, this being ran completely by UGO, the Chinese company that purchased MLW. They also back H2 though, so what the hell the point is escapes me.
NoCalMike Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 for what it's worth, I liked what I saw of it. it had a VERY ECW-feel to it. I only saw it a few times when I had my black box which allowed me to get sunshine network.
Guest Aecas Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I've only seen two MLW shows, and sadly I wasn't terribly impressed with either. It just didn't seem to have anything going for it at all.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 I liked MLW, it had a good mix of a bunch of different styles. Plus they had pretty high production values when it came to taping promo's and videos. (At least for an indy)
Guest Corino 1000 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Im actually glad to hear this. I really enjoyed MLW. Does anyone know ifn there running FL?
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Not sure, but I would think so...
