Oh hell yes. For that alone I'd buy this set.

This is 1/4 of my birthday present.

 

SP, the Gray Ghost episode is one of my favorite episodes of any television program. I was so glad to see him return in last month's issue of Batman Adventures.

Gray Ghost is the f'ing MAN. That is indeed one of the finest half hours of any television program. B:TAS delivered several of those in its original run. "Soul of Silicon" was amazing as well. I'm glad to see "The Clock King" and "Appointment in Crime Alley" in this set also. I can't remember the name of the episode so can anyone tell me if the episode where the Mad Hatter traps Bruce in a fantasy world where he's not Batman is on there? I LOVED the Detective elements of Bruce realizing he couldn't read because you dream with a different side of your brain than you read with. That episode was great. The showdown with the fake Batman there is awesome.

I'm hoping we get Robin's Reckoning 1 and 2 on the next set. Those episodes were boss. I think they came along during the 7PM Sunday Evening special slot when they put out a few darker episodes. That was an awesome time.

I pre-ordered this a couple weeks ago. I LOVE!! that the episodes are ordered based on chronological order(IIRC) rather than the date aired.

Heart of Ice, which is Freeze's origin and the episode that won the show an Emmy, is on so good stuff there.

That's the one that got them an emmy? Nice. That is a great episode. One of the great things about this series is that kids got their kewl fightz, but now that we're older we can appreciate the wonderful character depth and storytelling.

 

I still demand Robin's Reckoning.

I don't know, I still like the kewl fightz, myself. If Sass is reading this, I'd do a review of this Box Set for the site if he'd like.

 

Oh, and the only way to get a Volume 2 with Robin's Reckoning is to buy this one, but you already knew that...

One thing that annoyed me about the series, though--when Bats would be falling a great distance and use the Bathook to save himself. It would work and he wouldn't have his arm dislocated or ripped off.

Soul of Silicon is episode 60, by production numbers, which puts it at the end of season 1. So it will most likely be on volume 2.
