Guest Evolution Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Thoughts: - Except for that cheap, cheap finish, the three way opener was better than the elimination four-way at the Bash. But that finish...boo. - Cena's facial expression to hearing "Spike Dudley" as the #1 contender was very womanly. - Speaking of Cena, there was one fan in the front row behind Cena who was absoultely loving his schtick. Can't say I was the same way, but the fans seemed to enjoy it. - They need to run an angle where Bubba catches a chairshot to the back of the head and goes back to his stuttering ways. The crowd would be all over it (and so would Cena), giving the Dudleyz a new flair when they flip out and beat up on Cena or their opponents in general for making fun of Bubba's born-again speech impediment. That New York accent ain't cutting it, that's for damn sure. - Torrie/Sable/Lil' Naitch/Luther. Ugh. But listen to that medium-sized top for Charlie's bare chest (Robinson, not Haas). Speaking of Haas, UGH at him being in a feud with Luther.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 The then-WWF had to turn the Dudleys face. They were getting cheered to much for being badasses that put people through tables and didn't give a fuck.

notJames 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2004 Cena's riff on Suzuki made me switch to Celebrity Poker Showdown* two minutes into it. And I never looked back. *Maura Tierney beat Lauren Graham, Michael Ian Black, Dule Hill and Rosario Dawson. I picked Lauren to win... damn.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted July 2, 2004 I liked the three way. It shocks me how over RVD is even at this point, when he's been mishandled for the last...what, 2 years? Like the guy or not, it would be no problem for WWE to push him to the main event. Mordecai looked pretty good in the ring, though I'm not sure about the clean loss to Lil' Rey-rey. Kenzo is officially a lost cause, and I'm so sick of Cena's crap I don't know what to do. Have we gone back to the late 80's where all the wrestlers had day jobs? You know, like a plumber, baseball player, etc. Cena seems to be over with the crowd, but they're gonna have to tweak his gimmick to make him a legit contender. I'm not saying completely drop it, but they should cut it back, and mix in more of a serious wrestler persona with the hip-hop style. Believe it or not, I thought the main event was fairly entertaining. Bradshaw and Spike worked well together, though noone thought Spike was winning. So, overall, the show wasn't too bad, but keep in mind, I've drastically lowered my expectations for SD, so it doesn't take to much to make me happy right now. WWE fans are weirdos you know, they cheer any violence against women.
