AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Sean O'Haire has started training at my Muay Thai gym at Statesville. I haven't watched much WWE, so I don't know if he's still under contract with them. Anyway, after class tonight me, my trainer, Sean and another friend ate at a local steakhouse and he's a pretty cool and personable guy. I met his brother as well last year at a Tough Man contest in Mooresville, NC; Shane O'Haire. He won the heavyweight bracket, but I lost by decision in my first match Well, don't know if any of you guys care too much, but I thought it would be cool to say I've got a friend that is(was) a WWE wrestler. Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted July 8, 2004 That's pretty cool man. Did he mention anything about wanting to get back into wrestling or possibly work for TNA?
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Actually, he's expressed an interest in fighting in K-1 or UFC, which is why he's training at the gym. He did talk about doing a show in Japan, but I didn't catch what promotion he was working for.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 I believe K-1 used him as a surprise on a recent show in Japan.
Cran Da Maniac 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 That's cool. Statesville is only 20 mins from me too.

Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Yea, I remember he had a black belt in Muay Tai and maybe Tae Kwon Doe. He also runs a gym (or he did) in hilton Head.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Wow, I had no clue O'haire was living around here. (I'm in Charlotte) I may have to run down the street and pick a fight with the little twerp.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted July 8, 2004 He'd fucking kill you WMD. Stick with messing with me in the TNA fourm. At least you have a chance there. O'Haire= The Shiznit.
AboveAverage484 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 Right now he's living in Hilton Head, SC, but he's staying in Charlotte and coming up to Statesville to train for a little while. Not to brag or anything, but the Muay Thai gym in Statesville is one of, if not, the best Muay Thai gyms on the east coast. Another cool thing to note, Sean said he wrote all of the "devil's advocate" skits from a while back (remember: "I'm not already telling you anything you don't already know"?). Pretty cool. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 8, 2004 if he wrote it...how come he couldn't act it?
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2004 He did fine in the vignettes. It was just on the shows he was involved in such important angles as getting Spanky to streak.
The Buzz 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 He was undefeated in Toughman contests and kickboxing from what I heard on one of his fansites.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted July 10, 2004 Why does everyone have a hard time believing Sean O'Haire doesn't have a martial arts background? Because he's not the best wrestler? Last I checked most legit fighters have a hard time to adapt to worked matches, which is why UFC/MMA/Whatever would be a perfect place for him.
The Buzz 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2004 I personally think he could be a very big player if he goes into the MMA world, because he is indeed legit and being undefeated in any type of fighting takes a good fighter.
BigPoppaKev 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2004 He wrestled Hiroshi Tanahashi at New Japan's latest dome show as part of the K-1 team.
Guest Jesse Report post Posted July 12, 2004 Does anyone know if there's any truth to the rumors about O'Haire getting choked out by Charles Bennett in the stands at an mma show last year? An mma board I post on loves to tell that story but I've never seen or read any proof.
