Guest Ether Report post Posted July 10, 2004 A friend told me that Tobey had signed on to do 3 more Spider-man movies, so it could end up being 5. If and when X3 does big box office, they will probably do more movies. However, I believe Hugh Jackman said he would only do 3 movies as Wolerine, and possible a spin-off, before quitting the character. But then, they could still make movies without Wolverine. Many more chacters to get to. I can't see them going that route. Sure, there are plenty of other characters, but Wolverine was pretty much the main focus of the first movie, and split the main focus with Jean in the second one. They would have to build up another character, one who isn't as popular as Wolverine. As an X-Men fan, I wouldn't find this a bad thing, but I don't think the general public would go for it. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2004 I really think both Spidey and X-Men should stop at 3 movies. Both storylines have built up a storyline over two films, leading to a crescendo type emotional battle (Peter vs Harry, X-Men vs Jean/Phoenix), that, if done right, will hit the mark way better than introducing random comic villians will do.Both of them are like... the emotional height. It's Luke vs. his father in the Emperor's chamber. It just doesn't get any more emotionally charged. It would just be lame to come back in film 4 with anothe random villian. 3 great films has kind of an elegance to it Plus the 'suckage possibility' always jumps up exponentionally after part 3. If Bryan Singer and SAm Raimi and the principal cast players want to come back for 4, then maybe they should consider it, but if there are major cast and/or producer and/or director changes, we're veering into "franchise suckage" territory. You know it's going to happen. It's inevitable.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 At the news of no Berry in the X3, I'm torn between glad that such a bitch is gone from the cast, and sadness that the chara is fucked. On Eavesdropping [Alan Cumming's show] she seemed like an average down-to-earth actress. Then again, the keyword being 'actress'. Alan and Halle seemed to have such great chemistry on the show and, I've read, on the set of X2. Then again, if she's going to be that much of a bitch, then I'm glad to see the cunt gone. X-Men and X2 were both successful, yet she abadons it for shit like Catwoman. I opt for Storm to be just on vacation or some other shit. Yet. With that being said...where does that leave Nightcrawler's storyline? Ororo and Kurt seemed to have a good thing going in X2... And Ororo was really the only character that Kurt seemed to relate to. Kurt is definetly the character that got me hooked on Alan Cumming to begin with, so I'm definetly concerned for where his character could go in X3. Hmm. Then again. No Storm *could* mean more air-time for him...

Jean's death would cause Logan to become more introspective, and he turns to the religious Nightcrawler for help. - do a Nightcrawler/Kitty Pryde thing with Rogue. Again, Kurt was one of Kitty's closest friends on the team, after initially being frightened of his appearance. - have him fall for an airline stewardess who ends up being his foster sister and a sometime sorceress. And I'm not making this up.

That could work, and I can definetly see both actors pulling off such a scene beautifully. - do a Nightcrawler/Kitty Pryde thing with Rogue. Again, Kurt was one of Kitty's closest friends on the team, after initially being frightened of his appearance. Hmm. I wonder if they'll reveal about Mystique being Kurt's mum? That could lead to something. - have him fall for an airline stewardess who ends up being his foster sister and a sometime sorceress. And I'm not making this up. 0.0; ....Oooookay. That was quirky. Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 The big question now is who will they cast as Dr. Doom. Jeremy Irons!
algrim 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 Jeremy Irons! He's a good candidate. I read in Wizard that they were cosidering Tim Robbins. I suppose he could pull it off too.

Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 Off-Topic: That's a REALLY nice sig, Yuna. Thanks. I wasn't going to go with a sig at all, because the last times I did, it was *way* too flashy. But then I saw some of the glorious artwork for BloodRayne 2 and....sooo couldn't resist! BloodRayne is sexy as all fuck, and her game ain't half-bad either

It was probably another storyline that they weren't ready to get into yet. The directors and everyone else. After all, they had plenty enough to balance, if you think about all the characters *and* giving all those characters something to do. But the directors kind of put that scene together to please the comic-fans or something. They mentioned that in the commentary, I believe.
Guest netslob Report post Posted July 11, 2004 i see your point, but still, if they just threw in a line like "He looks familiar" or something to that effect, it would have been better then just ignoring the connection completely.

I think there is something that sorta-kinda-maybe deals with that. The scene where Mystique hacks into Stryker's computer was, I believe, extended; and the extended version is in the deleted scenes. I haven't viewed it in a while, so no quoting. When Alan Cumming appeared on The Graham Norton Effect [which was quite the hilarious show; I suggest watching the repeat when it comes on] he said that he'll return to Vancouver in the spring to film X3. Just a useless trivia. I *hope* Nightcrawler will have a bigger role in the next movie. I'm not saying that as a Alan Cumming fan, but as a Nightcrawler fan. He was definetly my fave chara of the entire movie. And who doesn't love the BAMF! they made? ^.^
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2004 see, that bothered me the most about X2: the fact that Mystique and Nightcrawler, who both have blue skin and yellow eyes, NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED THE FACT THAT THEY LOOK ALIKE!! jesus, you have this OBVIOUS plot device, and it wasn't touched on ONCE! Meh, here were blue-scaly-skinned, yellow-eyed mutants running around everywhere there, wasn't there? It was probably another storyline that they weren't ready to get into yet. The directors and everyone else. After all, they had plenty enough to balance, if you think about all the characters *and* giving all those characters something to do. If they weren't going to dive into that--what with Mystique being a mainstay for the movie series, they probably could have plugged another mutant into Nightcrawler's role and the plot wouldn't have changed much, unless I remember incorrectly. Of course, it would be at least one later a movie for Yuna to mark out over him for. But then I saw some of the glorious artwork for BloodRayne 2 and....sooo couldn't resist! BloodRayne is sexy as all fuck, and her game ain't half-bad either Maybe 1/4 bad... If they do anywhere close to as decent on the next game, they might really have something. What do you think of the young Devil May Cry 3 Dante, Yuna? By the way, not that it will make much difference, but apparently after the original trailer for Catwoman was leaked and subsequently crapped all over, they did a month of re-shoots. So either they improved some things, or perhaps turned it into an even more rushed, but less stupid, disaster. By the way... http://www.sirenssecrets.com/caco.html "It looks better than the actual costume... how strange is that?" -- some one on another board.

Of course, it would be at least one later a movie for Yuna to mark out over him for. Well, he was the one that started everything, actually. Stryker used him on to invade the White House and attack the president. Thus, the pres would agree to Stryker "questioning" the school. If they do anywhere close to as decent on the next game, they might really have something. What do you think of the young Devil May Cry 3 Dante, Yuna? From the vids I saw over at Gamespot [soo recommended, luv] it looks quite awesome. Also, news has it that she'll be able to impale enemies. See here for more on that [scroll down till you get to 'new game feature revealed']. And the young Dante? One word: hot! I saw him on the cover of the June '04 issue of PSM and I'm all But, with that said, perhaps it's a bit too much skin for the male gamers. Well, some of them, anyway.
