Guest Real F'n Show Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 from 411mania.com: - The RAW Diva Search has a lot of famous people involved. Some of the contestants include 1998's Playboy Playmate of the Year Karen McDougal, Playboy's Miss April 2003 Carmella DeCesare, and model/actress Amy Weber. [PWInsider.com] - At this point, the top Smackdown matches for Summerslam appear to be Bradshaw vs. The Undertaker for the WWE Title and Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle. [PWTorch.com] - Many backstage are somewhat happy that WWE took the WWE Title off Eddie Guerrero because the fear was that he could not handle the pressure. Guerrero was taking the fact that business went down during his reign very hard and many thought he was coming apart under the heavy burden. [PWTorch.com] - WWE has announced that the RAW brand will be returning to Germany for one show on October 9th in Frankfurt. This is the RAW brand's first show in Germany since 2002. - Both Matt Morgan and John Heidenreich continue to work down in OVW. WWE had given both young guys a quick push in WWE before sending them down for more seasoning. The verdict was that both were still too green for WWE TV. Credit: Torch Newsletter. - Vince McMahon has apparently had talks with Bruno Sammartino about getting him into the WWE Hall of Fame. McMahon wants to "legitimize" the WWE Hall of Fame by adding Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart as soon as possible. Credit: Torch Newsletter. - Michael Cole and Tazz announced that Mark Jindrak, "The Reflection of Perfection", and Theodore Long have "parted amicably" as explanation for why Long didn't accompany Jindrak out to the ring on tonight's Smackdown. -------------------------- I seriously hope we don't get Taker/Bradshaw at Summerslam...

That would be awesome, but I thought Vince had heat with Hogan too since the last time Hulk was on T.V.
algrim Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 We all know how much Vince loves his hosses. Whether we like it or not,we 're going tosee UT vs. JBL. The only thing that can save that match is to add Eddie. *Thinks of UT vs. JBL*.

Doesn't give a damn x 4.
Jobber of the Week Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Getting Hogan to participate would be easy. "Gee, Hulk, we'd like to throw a celebration about how great you are." Think he'd say no? Getting Bret to participate would not be so easy. Getting Sammartino to participate is laughably impossible.
UZI Suicide Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 They should wait a bit on Hogan, he was still just wrestling for the company, what.. last year? He should be gone a few years before they induct him.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 I thought they were building up a Angle/Cena match for Summerslam. Oh well.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 as long as Eddie doesn't become some Fluke World Champion and win the title again....or he will be in the same catagory of Chris Jericho who won the big one but hasn't won it since.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 So is 411's new thing C/Ping the news and not giving anyone credit for it? EDIT: Ah noticed that they had it at the end but still a lot of their newsbits lately have been without credit.
Guest combat_rock Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Did Teddy Long quit or something? His promos for Jindrak were AWESOME. Anyway, I knew Eddie was going to be the one to take the fall for Smackdown's decline, despite common sense dictating that it has more to do with horrible booking and pushing JBL so quickly when, right or wrong, no one would buy him in the main event.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Maybe they are preparing Theodore Long to be the new GM of Smackdown when Kurt Angle returns.
Guest Choken One Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Getting Bret to participate would not be so easy. Bret wouldn't be too hard, he just is worried and paranoid about his reception is all.
Ultra Violence Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Maybe they are preparing Theodore Long to be the new GM of Smackdown when Kurt Angle returns. CHA-CHING~~~!

[PWTorch.com] ----------- Taking the belt off him may make him feel like a bigger failure

Besides, that doesn't qualify as "famous." Someone that was Playmate of the Year is more famous - with the average media and man on the street - than virtually anyone and everyone currently in the WWE.
