In ten years from now we'll probably be dealing in High definition dvds, but no way in hell are the movie studios going to abandon dvds as a sourse of income for what Gates is describing. El Psycho Diablo 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2004 I can see VOD taking off, but people are just too interested in owning physical copies of discs, and Hollywood studios are just as bad about issuing multiple "special" editions of one movie, if only to sell more copies.. (I'm looking at Terminator 2 and the Evil Dead series here, in particular.) (I've got Time Warner Digital here, and I love the On Demand TV channels, if only they'd update more..)
